I was a racing driver and I am stating for a fact that not a single driver ever gave a shit about Schui's stats based on bullshit like pitstop strategies etc - we dont care about that shit - thats for you wankers who dont comprehend the sport. What we care about is SPEED and Senna is our all-time God - the fastest man who ever drove a racing car - the most gifted, talented, phenomenally FAST driver the Earth has ever seen or will EVER see!
It's not like a driver has to guess the future by himself sitting at home watching TV. It's big business - they have mangers on $10 million year retainers. Schui's manager would've been approached by senior Ferrari management - he would've known damn well that Ferrari were ramping up to unprecedented all-out assault on dominating F1 bringing Rory Byrne, Ross Brawn, to join Jean Todt etc and boosting R@D spending to $500 million a year. He wasn't in it for the challenge - that's a complete myth!

Prost would have won 9 and Senna 11 in the same situation - ie. Schui's 7 AND a few WITHOUT the best car in 96,97,98,99,05,06. Senna won in 90 and 91 with out-dated manual gearbox cars and Prost won in 86 against superior Williams Honda.

Schui would have then won 5 at Ferrari (though still all hollow due to team-orders).
Senna was great as well, but he have never droven by a Legend as Ferrari. Schumacher was a Tifosi's Idol and he rescued la Scuderia from Hell to the top. This is a trophy that owns just to him. No comparisons to Senna, please, each one is each one.

Indeed WC count is almost irrelevant.
Trivial events can completely change the score.
Classic example: Mansell's 1986 Australian Grand Prix tyre blowout (tyre technicians underestmated wear rate).
But for this single event (just 1 race in Prost's 199 GP and Mansell's 186 GP careers), Mansell would have 2 WC's and Prost 3, instead of 1 and 4 respectively - changing the WC rate ratio of Prost:Mansell from 300% better to just 50% better. (ie. 400% to 150%).
That's why I count poles and wins!

Number of titles dont mean jack shit! Gilles Villeneuve won ZERO and is universally recognized as more talented than all but 2 or 3 of the 29 drivers who have won world titles. He just never had a decent car. Jack Brabham won 3 but no-one even rates him top 20!
Giacomo Agostini won 14 in motorcycle racing - does that make him twice as good in motorsport as Schui? No - same reason Schui's 7 don't mean anything - its all due to having the best equipment.
Senna's stats mean far more than Schuis

Nobody could beat Schumacher when he had the best car and team-orders preventing even his team-mate from trying to beat him. Who cares? Put half the drivers in F1 in that situation and they will win 5 World Championships from 00-04 - it doesn't mean anything.Without the best car in 96,97,98,99,05,06 - he couldn't win the Titles - Proof that it was just his cars that won him the Titles. He is not special. Senna walks all over him. Senna won in 90 and 91 with out-dated manual gearbox cars.

Prost would have won 9 and Senna 11 in the same situation - ie. Schui's 7 AND a few WITHOUT the best car in 96,97,98,99,05,06. Senna won in 90 and 91 with out-dated manual gearbox cars and Prost won in 86 against superior Williams Honda.
Schui won nothing without the best car. He was never all that good - just the most privileged driver of all-time (BY FARRRRRRR)!

C'mon - even Hill in just his 2nd year got within a point of Schumi in 94 Championship. Senna would have romped it! Frank Williams said the team lost their way due to Senna's death. Otherwise - the 95 hiccup would not have occured before resuming dominance in 96,97. So Senna would have won 4 straight with Williams 94-97. Then retired on top - as REIGNING WC - with 7 Titles. Schui would have then won 5 at Ferrari (though still all hollow due to team-orders).
That's what MAY 1, 1994 prevented!

Senna was great as well, but he have never droven by a Legend as Ferrari. Schumacher was a Tifosi's Idol and he rescued la Scuderia from Hell to the top. This is a trophy that owns just to him. No comparisons to Senna, please, each one is each one.

no one here questions how great Senna was. Really most F1 fans who were old enough to see Senna race always gave him the appropriate place in history. If you don't like Schumi, well fine, but stop making it about Senna. Senna is too good for you to use his name in the context that you've been using it.
