Two t5 bulbs, 6500K color temperature.  Fertilizer is just the Seachem line of aquarium plant fertilizers.

i have some serpae tetras and they have not been bothering my other fish at all, they just chase eachother around a lot and school all day. I have 5 of them in a heavily planted 56G tank. is this ok, they seem happy and they have not bothered my other fish at all.

I have a 5 gallon tank housing 6 serpae tetras. Me and my mom are thinking about upgrading it to a 29 gallon tank or 10 gallon tank and get more fish.

I got 7 of those red phantom tetras at the beginning for Christmas in 98...I have 1 left now and he should die soon. When I move out I'm defiantly buying a 50 gal tank. Mines only 10 at the moment.

danios and tetra go good to ether but danios might nip at the tetras fins a bit

does your serpae tetra nip on all your long-finned fish like your angelfish and guppies because I was planning on buying them.plus they don't look too fin nippy like tiger barbs

I'm looking for a small schooling fish to go with a dwarf gourami and cory cats. Would 6 Serpaes be a good idea?

Serpaes would probably cause problems with your dwarf gourami, and it might not keep its long fins.

You could get red phantom tetra's. they are very similar to what the Serpaes look like.

Those are all kind of aggressive fish. I wouldn't put them together.

Yep, serpaes tend to nip other fish's fins, especially during feeding time.
