I like Tears because they were singing about things that nobody else was singing about at the time. Roland was writing about all politics before it became the "trendy" thing to do. Now we have all of these wannabe political advocates that do things because they're following a trend not because they believe in any of the drivel that they're spewing out.

@JohnoEAL Ha, yeah I know what you mean, it's kind of mellow and yuck! They've gone very 60s/70s poprock, seem to be really into that kind of stuff. Their first two albums will always be the best for me. They have no affinity for that style of music now - shame. I still think their 90s and recent albums have some great stuff and their voices and songwriting shine through on many tracks but I doubt they'll ever do anything again that appeals to me as much as The Hurting and The Big Chair.
