No permit is needed unless you're filming for commercial purposes. If it's just you and a video camera they won't care. They're not near as strict as the CTA in Chicago or other systems.
@Strangerinasland Hmmm, well they should probably state that on their website, I haven't found anything one way or the other. Even CTA lets you take pictures (I was in Chicago last month), you just have to be careful.
@EverywhereWest Yes, they should state that on their website & on signs. They should do many things they don't do. I haven't yet been willing to risk going to jail or being banned tho. It's yet 1 more stupid aggravating abuse of power. Wonder what they're trying to hide?
I have no idea what you may mean by "you just have to be careful".
I envy you traveling to Chicago & photographing there.
@Strangerinasland What I meant was, CTA states on their website that non-commercial photography is accepted. However, there are some CTA workers that obviously don't know what their photo policy is and will tell you that "you can't do that" even though you can, which happened to me once in 2006. I could have argued, but I doubt that would've done any good. By "being careful" I meant you have to be prepared to be kicked out at any time because some people don't know what they're talking about.
I liked when the announcement said "This is the Final Destination", it kinda sounded like the movies.
