So Hiragana is the alphabet that people use to make japanese words and main writing system.then theres katakana that is also another writing alphabet ,it is mostly used for transliteration from western languages.

Lastly theres kanji which are chinese characters.

@KILLZONER20 Yes, Hiragana is the basic composition of Japanese, just like English alphabets. So you have to remember these symbols first in order to continue learning Japanese.

Wow nice. I think a lot of work went into this and I definitely appreciate what was done. I think to learn a language you have to be attracted to the culture. It seems to me that this is the main point coming across in these videos. Use an attractive image (albeit not a real girl, a real girl would be nice) and a great background from real locations to draw people into Japan itself, not just Japanese written in a book.

Yes, it will for the most part mean the same thing. However due to the fact that imported words are generally written in Katakana, some of the context will be lost (which would make reading more difficult).
