This guy has no idea what he's talking about. Of course you can store solar power at night - they're called batteries.
"Peak Oil" is a cult of idiots. For them, there's always no solution. And peak oil is always just around the corner. The peak oil nutters have been warning of the end, for the past 150 years.
@SpiceSE90 He knows that you can store solar power; he is talking about storage that could enable solar to actually replace oil. That requires an entirely different level of solar capture and storage. You aren't going to charge your electric car up at night on the solar power that was produced during the day. That would require an enormous amount of stored solar power.
As far as "no solution", I can only surmise that you didn't pay any attention to the fact that his job is working on solutions.
Free energy has been here all along ,But Elite controllers don't want ppl to be free from the costs of energy,Find a motor that needs no fuel or input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the energy revolution!
Don't worry, there's plenty of abiotic oil. It's most likely renewable but the oil companies want you to think that it's scarce so they can charge you more for it.
One of the better videos addressing Peak Oil and the problems of mitigating it. In truth there is NOT a solution other than a dramatic change of lifestyle and most likely an unpleasant population decline.
There is no such thing as "agriculture waste" all that bio mass is gold and shouldn't be burn to produce electricity, I have to disagree with this man on that point. Composting and replenishing depleted top soil with that bio mass should be top priority IMO. We are able to grow stuff on infertile land thanks to fossil fuels, that won't be the case when oil is becoming less and less available. So Lets burn what can keep us from starvation at least we'll have air conditioning!
There's more to renewable energy than just wind, solar, and hydro. There's an entire movement out there trying to spread the word on this, Astro-Humanism has some great world saving ideas
Thank you for presenting the scientific truth about energy in a calm way. I have slowed down my oil consumption, and have encouraged my friends and family to conserve too. I believe the world can transition successfully to a new era when oil is no longer growing exponentially and no longer cheap.

He underates the potential downside of this. Reccession? Depression? The honest posibility that he didn't mention was famine on a global scale.

come sempre.

@iorr98 That makes a hell of a lot more sense to burn waste than it does to burn corn.

I agree, it also makes much more sense to cut off your foot than cut off your hand.
