I have heard at least four different versions of this tune, including two by the composer himself, and a more recent recording by Elliott Adams.
Of all of these, I have to say that I still like the composer's 1924 audio recording the best, as it seems to perfectly express the bittersweet soul of the piece (don't let the title fool you).
However, Frederick Hodges does a very nice job here, and adds his own ingredients as usual (and as would have been expected back then).
Bargy wrote many of the great novelty rags including Pianoflage, Omeomy, and Slipova.. Frederick does a great job on all of the Bargy pieces - this being my favorite

Sounds almost like a Fats Waller influence.
