I had dark blonde hair as a child, that turned reddish blonde then light brown by my pre-teens, medium brown with light, blond and red hues in my late teens, and finally black in my mid twenties. I think it's because Mealnin increases with age. I read that 72% of Germans are light and blod as children, 61-62% in their adult years, and by their old age, 80% of them have darkened.
