  • Is that motor durable(Im satisfied if it lasts a year or two)? Im trying to find something for my mini inferno, feels wrong to put a low-end sensorless system in there ;-) I want a sensored one.. Also, is the esc really "splashproof" as Novak claims on their page? Thanks for uploading the vid by the way.. really smooth combo, its like my old high-end brushed setup.. good times :-)

  • Can it run sensored and sensor-less, or just sensored? I would really appreciate it if you could reply. Thanks. :)

  • @721069 you can run a sensor-less motor with most sensored esc's but can not run a sensored motor with a sesorless esc

  • @muncher883

Makes sense. So the mongoose will run a sensor-less motor then?

  • @721069 yes

  • @muncher883

Thanks for your help. I'm off to get mine.

  • I dont know about you guys but my diffs keep melting, i guess it's time to upgrade.

  • do you notice much difference between your sensored and sensor-less??

  • @suicidalchris i noticed a difference at slow speeds

  • damn fast lttle fuker

  • this is only the 10.5 shit i just got the 8.5

  • finally someone witha good songs lol.. does this combo fit in the mini revo pls reply

  • @rubinmeneps

    It should just fine.

  • Amen to that brother !!!

  • will it make my 1/16 e-revo vxl faster if i put one in it

  • Doesn't look that fast to me.......... It's not as fast as a Mamba 8000kv with a 3-cell lipo, and Defineatly not faster than my 9200kv Dynamite with a 3 cell. Never tried Novak though......... Looks a little smoother than than Castle's speed control..

  • @tobyjames34 it would be alot faster if we had a lipo, remeber it is only running on a 6 cell 7.2

  • The mongoose come with different motors, his is 10.5, 8.5 would be around 9500kv I think. Speed wise I would say same kv performs the same, but the sensored mongoose motors are sooooo smooth. mambas are more durable though IMO (I have both)

  • @tobyjames34 dude for a 6-cell nimh it flies !!! so stop talking Sh#t

  • @tobyjames34 dude he's only running a 6-cell nimh battery not even a 7.4v lipo big difference my buddy has a 8.5t novak mongoose 380(9000kv) and a min e-revo with 11.1v and it was a mistake to get him a 11.1v battery because a 7.4v lipo was uncontrollable let alone 11.1v the front tires never see the ground even at 1/8th throttle ans the Expo. turned all the way down !

  • @tobyjames34 this is sensored thats why

  • Novak sucks I had HV maxx in a e-maxx burnt up two different times, sent it back to Novak twice they still cant get it right.

  • Im having a Novak GTB 5.5 brushless race motor put in to my 1/10 10:0:1 gear ratio truggy, just wondering is it ok to add an anidised titanium heatsink from a brush motor to prevent less heat on the motor? I mean will it affect the engine in any way that could make it worse by doing so or will it do its job and reduce the temp? and is it ok to run the motor on anything between 15-19T pinion?

  • nice now i might get a novak for my rc18mt

  • Comment removed

  • novaks r the best

  • i want to buy!!!!!!! i want a mt, i was going to get an emaxx, but i like smaller scale.

    whats the bidding?

  • Comment removed

  • i have, and they are much better than the others, for all tightass's out there.

  • ha anyone bought this yet

  • thats no problem im running 2200mah 3s lipo with my speed passion for the last year, and getting 130kmph or 75+mph, novak will burn up on a warm day.

  • my speed passion emotion will blow the mamba and the novak on this video, mamba and novak are crap, get a speed passion or a lrp and then u will see. lrp make the best esc and motors in the world.

  • well the novak would blow away the speed passion if i was using a 3 cell lipo

and i know how good lrp is i have one in my b4 buggy

  • that seems like a really fast car. not gonna lie.. haha later

  • I got a different system made by reedy its 9400kv and is fast as hell running low end nimh cells. you're right about crashing more. I just programed esc for maximum power delivery and crashed into a real car tire and broke a few things and I'm still on cloud 9 with it! I should have went brushless long ago its a blast with all this speed.

  • sweet vid. you made up my mind right there to which system I'm putting on. 1 question, what if anything did you do as far as modifications for it to be ready for the brushless system? mine stock looks like it should be ok as far as handling the extra power but I thought I'd ask someone who is already set uo.

  • its a good brushless system only thing you need is to upgrad is your diff's, you mite need a stronger steering servo too. Be prepard to spend extra on replacment parts as you will crash more offten.

  • lol me too i was debating between mamba and novak and now i decided im going novak lol

  • i have an rc18r and i drove through sum dirt and i think i got sum sand in it or sumthing because it sounds like its gringing the gears and i cant fix it what shud i do?

  • Also, novaks may be a little bit faster, but cc is soooo much cheaper, just the motor costs a good 150, which is more than a mamba kit, not to mention the speed control which is inferior to the mamba

  • Not much of a comparison when comparing a 26mm brushless novak to a 20mm castle brushless. Sensored is also a nice feature. It'll be interesting to see a comparison between the castle 26mm motors coming out sometime later this year versus the novaks 26mm brushless :)

  • I'd love to see that setup run 3 cell lipo. To me it's just not that fast in the video, but then again I'm a speed freak :)

  • can the 18mt differentials hold up to brushless motors??

  • when i got my mamba they didnt have a novak but senored is sooo much better i wish i would have got that because i have a 13.5 in my tc5 and it rocks

  • ill admit that castle motors arent the best, but their esc's ARE ownage and theres no denying it. novak motors own

  • do you have to have any specific pinion gear for the motor? because on towerhobbies it says it requires novaks pinion gears for it.

  • it has a 19 t pinion and i dont think it is a novak pinion

  • Nice. wow that is one powerful motor. what teeth pinion and spur you have there ?

  • holy crap thats fast.........im gonna ask for the 8.5 system for my mini t for christmas............are you satisfied with it?

  • Damn thats quick. I had a rc18b with mamba 8000 but I bet these sensored motors work better, Id like to have one in a vendetta or 18t. Thanks for sharing the vid, make an offroad one with a 2 or 3 cell lipo battery.

  • thanks for the comment i will be adding a new video of it hill climbing and jumping very soon and i dont have a lipo yet but its on my list

    thanks

  • very nice man are the diffs and cvds still stock

  • thanks

there are cvds in front and dog bones in back and the diffs are stock diffs
