  • Hearing Leonard sing is like hearing Jim Nieghbors out of character. Nice!

  • Spock did pretty good...

  • WOW!!! Really impressive! Leonard Nimoy is pretty damn talented in singing as well! Loved it!

  • I love this song...and i actually like this version.

  • My brother had this album.

Could you post the song 'Cotton Candy', at least i think that's the title - That and 'Amphibious Assault' about technology and war in the distant future were two of my most favorite songs, along with 'The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins' and 'Highly Illogical'.

  • Already did Cotton Candy. Unfortunately, Amphibious Assault did not copy well in the transition from analogue cassette to digital disc. Sorry.

  • i gotta get this fucking record......

  • this isnt half as bad as i was expecting!

  • I agree

  • It would be interesting to hear him sing Paint it Black!

  • Khaaaaaan!!!!!!!!

  • obviously, 2-dimensional thinking

  • What a tender presentation of simple love by a man I believe is in love with being in love, and who is very simple and tender in his way of living.

  • Yes, Leonard. I would have your baby in a heartbeat.

  • damn wish that photo was in focus! he looks hot.

  • Wow, I'm shocked how well he sang this tune. Deep voice

  • If he were a Carpenter, he would have sung with Karen!

If you check out other tracks of his, the lower register is pretty good. But as soon as he goes higher, the tonality becomes unpleasant. This song is a little boarderline at times.

I read somewhere that every TV star was being pushed to sing and release albums back then because of the popularity variety shows. It was cheap and easy publicity.

  • Oh, that is funny! What you read is correct. There was a period when any celeb was indeed pushed to record an album. The social concerns of the time, drugs and psychedelia were scaring the establishment. Their solution was 'wholesome' music by 'respected' mainstream celebrities. My favourite (wish I had a video to post) was a folk singer named Burl Ives, in Nehru Jacket, singing 'Gentle on my Mind'. Also Merv Griffin, again in a Nehru, with an anti-drug tune called 'Have a Nice Trip'.

  • There's something so special about Leonard Nimoy's voice! He puts so much emotion into the song...his lower tones are rich and his higher notes are uplifting! Thanks so much for uploading!

  • Thanks. He is fascinating. :)

  • Great emotional deep voice and the charisma of this man is out of the charts. And what a personality ! I love mr Spock but I adore mr Nimoy!

  • He's awful in the bilbo video but this one sounds realy great!

  • Yeah, Bilbo didn't like the way he was portrayed either......Hey, are you related to Daria?????LOL

  • Daria? No.

  • very innersting

  • Not bad at all, but he's no Johnny Cash.

  • Johnny Cash nice guy but couldn't sing at all

  • This is probably his best singing performance from Two Sides... really great... love it!

  • great guy,mr Nimoy!

  • Thankyou for your comment. I like him best in his Spock persona.

  • You're welcome :-)

nobody would play the role of that Vulcan better than him! ;-)

  • True, but Kirstie Alley did a pretty good job in the ST movies....

  • i think so too
