  • My parakeet loves this

  • my birds love this vid i just played it and they started singing too.(two budgies)

  • she is just molting

  • OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO UR BIRD?????????? i am very sorry but i am going to have to dislike this because well u obviously cant take care of that bird its terrible

  • @awesomelily101 Its called plucking! Birds do it to themselves sometimes as a habit. (As i've heard.)

  • Oh my god, that poor bird!

  • whats wrong with Tweetie? D:

  • Aww haha i use this on mine so hell tweet since we got him yesterday n he needs 2 warm up to us:D

  • awww.

my parakeet wouldnt stop chirping while/after i played this video

  • OMG your parakeet is missing so many feathers i am pretty much an expert and i sudgest that you get either a cudle bone , food sprinkle , nutritious spray or try to get him or her to eat bananas or fruit , any ood source of calcium and potassium. plz take notice to this ... or you could buy a seperate cage for her to take some stress away.

  • i played this for my daughters 2 budgies and they were so happy! thank you!!

  • (Boris sits there annoyed)

Tweetie: "Soo.. maybe we should fly round together N do something fun?

    Boris: -.-

Tweetie: "C'mon, u always sit there u lazy bum, lets go go go go go go go!, C'mon"

    Boris: >_>

(Tweetie goes around to his other side)

Tweetie: "C'mon C'mon C'mon, move move move move, lets gooooo"

Boris: -___________________- *Thinks - aahh.. can she SHUT....UP"

  • I am glad people and their birds like this video.

  • @romeytheb My bird is trying to fly behind the computer to find the birds.

  • My parakeet Taco, he loves this video.. he tries to get into the speaker boxes.. !! hahaha

  • Are these different varieties of Parakeet. "she" might be trying to establish a teritory and "he" is in the way. Or maybe the sexes are the other way around and the English budgie really doesn't want the "relationship"

  • wats up with the yellow parakeets chest

  • Music to my hears.

  • Thanks for the comments. I never thought of social interactions as a cause of plucking. I just gave all the perches and toys a really good scrubbing since she rubs her head on stuff all the time as well. She is a really active parakeet so I like her to have the company.

  • I'm in no way an expert but I've always been taught if a budgie plucks itself it's because it's stressed - especially to that extent because it's literally bald all down the front, it's behaviour around Boris seems a little dominating too surrounding him from every possible angle, maybe keeping those specific budgies together is stressing them? Some people think they can just bunch them together but each has it's own personality and can clash. For Tweetie's sake, seperate + speak to a vet

  • aw! My parakeet Jack loves to talk to this video

  • @myemolove13 I keep wondering what she is saying. Lots of birds seem to like it.

  • Why does the right one look like it's head been transplanted to a new body!?!

  • Help!!!! :(

well, i really want some budgies, ive done TONS of research on them, found a perfect cage and everything, but now suddenly my parents have said no, because you can get diseases from their droppings and in their opinion you shouldnt keep birds in cages, i've tried telling them that the disease is EXTREMELEY rare and that i would give my budgies exercise out of their cage, but they just wont listen :(

have you got any tips? please help!!!

    thanks :)

  • Listen to you parents, they have common sense. Regardless if you are a loving warm person-the pet business is dirty and it is filled with animal cruelty and neglect. If you had wings and belonged outside, wouldnt you want to stay outside and fly? I think so. Do not support animal captivity. Gorgeous creatures everyday are taken away from nature to be placed in circuses, zoos and pet stores-to live in cages and to be controlled by humans. Empathy my friend is a wise emotion.

  • romeytheb i do not care ur parakeets are nasty and look like a ass

  • Just any girl of any species, wont stop talking T-T

  • yeah he looks pretty bad...... never seen a bird pluck that much

  • Boris is my English Budgie and he is nine years old. He does not sing or chirp much, but he is a cool old man( or lady)! Tweetie does all the talking in this relationship.

  • @romeytheb The way you can tell if its a boy or girl is to look at their nose and feet. If the feet and nose are blue, your parakeet is male. If the feet and nose are pinkish brownish your parakeet is female!

  • @romeytheb its a man

  • i notice u have a english budgie!!!!! the american budgie singin is soooooo cute! my english budgie can hear it and it chirping like crazy!

  • Your budgie is plucking feathers - this could be a very serious sign. She might be doing it from boredom, so make sure there are lots of toys in the cage. It may also be a nutritional problem. No bird should naturally be plucking itself bald. Take it to an avian vet.

  • She has plucked them so much I don't think they will grow back, but it doesn't seem to bother her. I am going to post a new video of her singing. She seems to do about three or four different voices at once. Very talented bird.

  • my bird LOVES this. Like she likes it better than most parakeet videos. How is Tweetie? Did her feathers grow back and has she stopped plucking them?

  • the other one is alone,, he needs a girl too.

  • She is cute and very fiesty. She can talk in several different voices at once. Lots of personality to make up for the missing feathers.

  • feathers missing and all, she is a doll baby, and wow! is she happy!!!! please don't anyone tell her she's missing feathers!!!! G

  • my bird just tried to fly into the screen

  • Umm hes not singing thats called cherping

  • uhhm tahts sad the other parakeet is l,onely

  • O.O what the heck happend to your parakeet?! poor thing please take it to the vet :(

  • it is molting. all birds do this

  • Oh my gosh, I don't know if you've done this already, but I agree with all of the other comments, please take your parakeet to a vet. ):

  • Whats the difference between a Parakeet and a Budgie?

  • there isn't budgies is jst the correct term parakeet means small bird

  • @Ghostgal11 "Budgie" is short for Budgerigar, the species that these birds are. A parakeet is a 'little parrot' which includes, Budgies and other 'little parrots.'

  • perhaps birdie needs to be kept in a quieter environment. every animal needs a companion of his/her species, perhaps just separated but nearby. stress means environment too totally loud, active or noisy. Do birdy a good turn and change it's environment!

  • You NEED to bring that bird to a vet! its plucking its feathers that is SOO unhealty and shows that its stressed and unhappy! Dotn be lazy just go see a vet!

  • it's probably trying to mate. sometimes they get really stressed and pluck their own feathers. Simply put. The bird could just be a nervous reck. Some vets would put a cone on it, but when the feathers grow back, it'll just pluck them again.

  • please take ur bird to the vet just in case.. she doesn't look so good

  • She seems to be itchy or over excited and she plucks her feathers. Otherwise she seems to be okay.

  • MY PARKEETS NAME IS TWEETIE TOO! LOL

  • maybe the bird is molting...

  • Birds kept in captivity molt year round, rather than seasonally like wild ones, so this bird is definitely not in molt. Even a wild parakeet would not lose its feathers this drastically.

  • what a very sweet bird. please, please...if you haven't yet, take this poor thing to the vet! he/she is itchy and has a skin problem or is very unhappy and stressed.

  • @sveetpunkrose I just got my bird today, do you know what i should do with it? I just want to know how to detect if it has a problem, and how to make it happy ^^"

  • i would seriously take your parakeet to a vet asap

  • Umm.... comon sense says "take ur bird to a vet", to bad theres not a ta where u can report ignorant owners! Dude take em to a vet!

  • you should take your bird to the vet...

  • have you tryed teaching this bird tricks and giving her difficult toys, she seems full of energy. it could help keep her from pluking if she has more to do. verry sweet bird.

  • wats wrong with his feathers do they fight a lot

  • My bird Little Crook loves this video!

  • Tweetie must be singing a very popular parakeet song. Lots of birds are really digging it!

  • @romeytheb

i kno! my Parakeets love it!

  • looks like an abusive relationship. poor baby what happen to her feathers?

  • She's a little nut. She has a ton of energy and when she isn't singing to Boris she picks at her feathers. Now I don't think they will grow back. She is still the boss of the cage, though.

  • if she picks her feathers that means shes stressed and shes unhappy.

  • if shes picking her feathers that means shes stressed or unhappy. you should see a vet about this.

  • My birds answer your birds!! cute!!

  • Comment removed

  • his head is big! hahaha!

  • How cute! My parakeets are like responding (chirping) to this video ight now!!!

  • it is so funny that so many birds like to listen to Tweetie. She goes at it just about 23 hours a day.

  • :( my parakeet used to always sing to this and eversince i clipped his wings hes all grumpy and stands still, idk if he tired because he was up all night yesterday but im gonna give him some sleep and see what happens

  • cute

  • Hah! My budgies do this! It's so cute!

  • I just got 2 parakeets and they sing all the time

  • i think shes acusing him of sleeping with the one in the corner LOL jk.sorry for your bird msacca ive always wanted a parot or parakeet.=(

  • omg..my birds were talking back to your birds..lmao!!!

  • she bithcin at him " i saw u pickin at hat hoe's head! dont YOU lie to me! bbah baha bha bah" hahah

  • LOL!

  • i just bought a new parakeet today, and he looked really sad. i thought he missed his buddies. :(

thanks for posting this, cause i played it for him and he started chirping, and ate a little. :)

  • That's good it helped. I don't know what she is saying, but it probably sounds good to other parakeets.

  • i thinki so too. they just want to feel part of the 'flock.' i went out today and bought a buddy for him, and they go crazy with this vid lol!

  • My Parakeet died yesterday at 11:30 PM.

  • poor nakie birdie. Sounds healthy though. Looks like you take good care of them. I've seen feather plucking like that in parrots who are stressed.

  • What kind of parakeet is in the corner at 0:21? Mine looks exactly the same down to the amount of blue spots just under his beak.

  • That"s Sweetie. He is just a typical green parakeet with a yellow head. He is an older bird because he has a dark blue cere above his beak. He used to be the partner of Tweetie until she dumped him, poor guy.

  • why are her feathers falling out? =( it looks terrible!

  • She started picking at herself one day and it became a habit. The others don't do it, so it may be an allergy or a compulsive behavior. She had done it so much that I don't think the feathers will grow back.

  • take her to a vet or an avian doctor. thats not normal. its one thing if a few fall out while she is cleaning herself, but if she is ripping them out of herself, there is something wrong.

  • I 'm sure She pulled her feathers out cause of stress, So you should take her to a vet or your local pet shop.

  • thats a nervous condition

  • my parakeet sings a lot

  • my birds love this vid!!!LOL!

  • I thought it was a bobblehead at first

  • Aww poor birdy !!! not a bobbleehad !!

  • lol poor birdy

  • I know! She looks so weird, but she is definitely the boss of the flock!

  • o wow you should do something about that birds feathers. =(

you can buy stuff to make them stop pulling them out.

  • I think she is just nagging him. Boris will come out of the cage and sit on my finger and Tweetie hates it because she doesn't like to be handled. She will get as close as she can to him and talk like crazy until he comes back. He is totally henpecked!

  • Cute gossiping. I would love to know what lovestory is going on between them :)

  • my birds went quit wen it stoped and then they went quit almost confused they cant figure out were the noise is comin from... lol!

  • LOL. You are right about her annoying the other birds. I am not sure why she picks at herself. She has a lot of nervous energy.

  • haha No wonder there are no feathers on the one parakeets chest it annoys the crap out of the other birds so they pick on it.

  • maybe

  • My parekeet completely ignores her, but my cockateil has a few things to say.

  • She does look very strange, but she is healthy and active. Some birds start plucking like people bite their nails and it ends up as a bad habit.

  • the poor thing looks like it's been abused

  • Tweetie starts singing as soon as she hears herself on youtube. I wonder if other parakeets know what she is saying.

  • my bird went 2 the com speaker when she heard ur bird and started singing 2

  • For some reason she started plucking the feathers off her chest and wing tops. I am not sure why she does it, so now she looks sort of weird.

  • OH NO you said she plucked her feathers!

that means she is misberal or does not get enough attention!

  • whats wrong with that one parakeets chest??

  • It probably plucked all of them because it was bored, lonely, or sick... mine did it a little.
