well basically I do a trick, pay attention to what people say, for example, you go to a store and see something really cool and you say "oh I would like it!" (watch people reaction, maybe he\she'll want the same so you'll be able to pick it later as a present) or if there no reaction say "you don't think it's cool?.. well what would you like?".work 98% of the time. especially if you really believe in it!

btw, this year I bought a little demon to my friend because that was her secret wish gift :)
