  • I agree with CarlDuke! The truly talented "crooners" of the past were far better than the majority of "performers" that have taken over the music industry today. I wouldn't even call very many of them "singers" because most of them have terrible voices! They rely on technology to make the noise they make into "hits". I don't want "smoke & mirrors" and head-banging screamers.... I want the music that the "crooners" of the past gave to us! Music for lovers... music you could actually DANCE TO!

  • இڿڰۣ-ڰۣ—kiss♥

  • They don't write them like this anymore, absolutely, swooning in the aisles music.

  • I WAS VERY HAPPT, WHEN i SAY THIS SONG ON YOUTUBE, WHEN i WAS YOUNG

I PURCHASED AL MARTINO'S VERSION OF THE RECORDING ON THE ALBUM WITH THE SAME NAME. IT WAS A GREAT UPDATED VERSIN OF A SINATRA VERSION FROM THE 1940;s .AS MUCH AS I LIKE THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD THIS IS BETTER.

  • A great Maltese Singer that won't be forgotton, his Maltese parents emigrated to the US in the 1920's..

  • Al Martino was one of the great singers of all time. Will there ever be another like him? Will there ever again be great music to sing

  • how time realy slipes away what a voice

  • Sad to note that Eddie Fisher just passed away. Both men were great talents, both were from South Philly, both passed on at age 82 and both men roomed together in New York in the early years as they tried to get their big break. There was a third roommate who also went to much success, Guy Mitchell.

  • Tempo too fast.

  • Thanks for posting

  • I love this song so much! Im 23 and love Al Martino and his beautiful way of singing his songs! God bless him for giving us so many years of such enjoyment!

  • This is a lovely song with many memories of my younger days, they just don't make them like this anymore. Al Martino has a beautiful voice and you are able to understand every word he sings.

  • This is a lovely song with many memories of my younger days, they don't make them like this anymore

  • nice tune,bud,good channel 2,enjoyed it,cheers.

  • This is a good rendition, but I still prefer the Billy Eckstine version. He put soul into it.

  • Great rendition of a super song.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I do think this is the best version of this song I have heard ,Al's singing is superb and the band play a great arrangement . What a lovely singer Al was !

  • Just listened to this again and thanks so much for posting this. I have heard good versions of this before, but none nearly as fine as this. Martino had a superb voice and a special talent. It really is sad to think that not only he is gone, but so is a time when the radio presented us with so many great singers. As Al himself said when reflecting on the turn the music industry had taken, who will sing the great songs and the romantic songs of the future.

  • You're so right, Carl. Too many great voices have passed on in recent years. Who will there to take their place?

  • @sapphiretaurus Truthfully there is no one, because there is no one with enough talent or love for this music to continue it. And please no one mention Buble. He does not count imo.

  • Al Martino has sadly passed away at age 82. What an exceptional talent who could sing powerful and stirring songs as well as poignant and sentimental ones with equal skill. A very special talent.

  • Beautiful song. Great voice. Thanks for sharing.

  • I much prefer the rather melancholy version by the late English singer Steve Conway, (which doesn't have the drum beat of this version).

  • hey hey johnny fontane.. haha..

  • Thank you so much for posting this, you are wonderful...

  • Beautiful!!!!

    Manythanks for posting.

    Regards Maria

    From Northern Ireland
