I remember when cuauhtemoc blanco and beckham just came to the mls many question "who would do best in the mls?" and majority of analysts said it was a stupid, senceless question.... I think everyone now knows it was (Blanco) but not their expected answer (Beckham)

@nike2376 this was during West Hams pre season warm up. MLS season was in full flow and they were much fitter. If this game was played nov/dec then it would be a different outcome. All MLS all star games are played when English players are just coming back from a few months off.

@nike2376 I don't think MLS sucks, all I said was that MLS are in full flow and EPL hasn't started yet. The first few games of the EPL is so frustrating as the players are trying to get their fitness back, it's slow and lots of mistakes are made (not the case after a few months of playing though). I was replying to your comment that "MLS has too much firepower" when I think it was more like "MLS has too much fitness", and there's no need to ruin your argument with name calling.

@dtango MLS has Cuau Blanco, Beckham, Angel, De Rosario, Donovan, Shalrie Joeseph. Who does West Ham have...Rob Green, Carlton Cole, Dean Ashton? I think we're the better team if both are in full fitness.

@dtango That was not near the best of MLS. The 2 best players in the league(Donovan and Buddle) played 90 minutes the night before so they couldn't really do anything. No Seattle players could be there because they had Champions league. There would have been more Galaxy players but they had the Champions league as well. Thierry Henry, Rafa Marquez, Nery Castillo, Blaise Nkufo, Branko Boskovic, Alvaro Fernandez just joined MLS so they couldn't play. Beckham and Ljungberg are hurt.
