look I've played Dragon age in my PS3 and on my buddies 360 and they look the same. And I've played the PC version in my cousins house and as far as i see it the PS3 and 360 are the same. but The PC is by far the more superior it doesn't matter that you use a keyboard for it it just feels right. now not say the console version is bad cause it's awesome and i play it in my PS3 still. I just think it was aimed more for PC. While DA2 was more Console friendly and pissed PC fans with good reason.

I got this 3+ years old pc, it's a Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM. Recently I decided to buy a vga for it so I bought a GTS 450 which is a decent card but not something super awesome. Well, I run DA at full max settings and even though I won't lie saying I never get lags, they aren't constant at all and they only happen when I'm in a big crowded city.
I also played it on 360 but I liked the camera and the menus of the pc version a lot more.
PC have the nicest graphic... I can't argue with that... but with a price of a PC similar to PS3 and Xbox, it'll be a laggy game... except if you waste your money more... which will have to be upgraded a year or two later... that's my view, i guess..

Argh! Multiplatform games are similar on each platform. In some games there are texture\resolution\effects cuts for one of the consoles. PC will always show better picture because of higher resolution, better monitor (feel the deeference between the small pixels of 23" FullHD monitor and a common 32"-42" 720p TV with fuckin' huge pixels). Add a 2x-8x fullscreen AA, 2x-16x AF and the job is done.
And don't even start tellin' me about the money - we are speakin' just about the quality of picture.
only reason pc has such flexibility due to the fact it can cost cheap to expensive(depending what you want of out the pc). consul dont have that luxury but rely heavy on pc for their games which is why multi-platforming is hard work for the developers. pc games take lesser time to make than consul due to for just that pc. porting to the consul takes more time since ps3 and x-box 360 have different standards for each systems while the pc do not since they basically run similar soft/hardware.

You spent $700 on upgrades and you can't play old games like BF2 and Force Unleashed? Either you paid too much for old parts or the problem may entirely be your Radeon 5450, which was never for gaming. It's a cheap card for browsing and media (HTPC). Earlier this year I put together a $400~ PC. Games from past few years run maxed, most newer games run at medium settings at 1360x768 (TV's native res). If you're on a tight budget, get something like a 5670 ($70~) and you're set.

Many PS3/360 games aren't true HD. Few are 1080p, many sub-720p, & those at actual 720p (1280x720) often have modest fps & no AA. Low-end PC (few hundred dollars) can & will run nearly all modern games in full HD, with better textures, effects, framerate & graphics than anything possible on PS3 & Xbox 360. I'm not bashing consoles. Just stating facts anyone can look up. It isn't the same. One can hope next-gen consoles will exceed mid-range PCs. Never mind high-end PCs.

@Destructor129 My point is that I am not interested to pay $500-$1000 to buy a gaming PC just so my game looks fractionally better.
If I'm going to be paying that kind of money, I want to be paying it for better games. No doubt PC has great games, I'm just not interested in paying that much when I'm happy with a console.
I believe I speak on behalf of a lot of console gamers.

@Destructor129 Of course of I've heard of Anti-Aliasing and Motion Blur, but when I'm playing on my console - I couldn't be more satisfied with it. The fact that I enjoy a console and would enjoy a PC at the same level means that some visual changes barely make any difference - unless you put yourself out of your way to find them!

I said that each of them are lowtech ;-) If you want to discuss: yea, the XBox360 has a more badass graphics chip, with unified shader architecture, similar to modern videocards, and has more video memory. PS3 - doesn't! It has old nVidia 7800GTX with ripped bus chip. And even 8-core CPU cannot save the situation! So, anyway - PS3 sucks! (^_^)

Argh! Multiplatform games are similar on each platform. In some games there are texture\resolution\effects cuts for one of the consoles. PC will always show better picture because of higher resolution, better monitor (feel the deeference between the small pixels of 23" FullHD monitor and a common 32"-42" 720p TV with fuckin' huge pixels). Add a 2x-8x fullscreen AA, 2x-16x AF and the job is done.
And don't even start tellin' me about the money - we are speakin' just about the quality of picture.

only reason pc has such flexibility due to the fact it can cost cheap to expensive(depending what you want of out the pc). consul dont have that luxury but rely heavy on pc for their games which is why multi-platforming is hard work for the developers. pc games take lesser time to make than consul due to for just that pc. porting to the consul takes more time since ps3 and x-box 360 have different standards for each systems while the pc do not since they basically run similar soft/hardware.

You spent $700 on upgrades and you can't play old games like BF2 and Force Unleashed? Either you paid too much for old parts or the problem may entirely be your Radeon 5450, which was never for gaming. It's a cheap card for browsing and media (HTPC). Earlier this year I put together a $400~ PC. Games from past few years run maxed, most newer games run at medium settings at 1360x768 (TV's native res). If you're on a tight budget, get something like a 5670 ($70~) and you're set.

A decent PC on the other hand is like a next-gen device in comparison. NOT the same thing. When you see a PC game running with high resolutions, speeds, effects & compare to the same title on console... it's an eye-opening "holy shit!" moment.

Many PS3/360 games aren't true HD. Few are 1080p, many sub-720p, & those at actual 720p (1280x720) often have modest fps & no AA. Low-end PC (few hundred dollars) can & will run nearly all modern games in full HD, with better textures, effects, framerate & graphics than anything possible on PS3 & Xbox 360. I'm not bashing consoles. Just stating facts anyone can look up. It isn't the same. One can hope next-gen consoles will exceed mid-range PCs. Never mind high-end PCs.
