  • I love you videos. They're very informative and well done. I'm especially impressed with the way this knife makes short work of the objects you place before it.

That out of the way. I have a question. And I apologize in advance for the un-knife related nature of it. So you happen to know the name of the beautiful music you have playing in the background? And if so, would you please mind sharing the title with me?

  • My mistake. You answered my question in a previous comment. I just had to look. Excellent videos, regardless. I can't wait to see more!

  • Nice.

The sheath set-up is great. Carrying some kind of fire starting implements in that little water proof container?

  • Yes I do, some paraffin wax soaked cotton balls and a fire steel. Gives off a 7 minuet or so flame and is water proof.

  • Where can I get this khukuri?

  • wow

awesome outdoorskit, awsome kukri, awesome vid

    congratulations!

    :)

  • Howdy. Excellent setup man I think my next knife for myself will be a Khukri. I was wondering what the music is from. Great work man.

  • Thanks, I really like it! I am not sure about the music, I think it was called Celtic nights?

  • Nice one jim. Fucking sweet setup. Hit you up soon.

  • That's is one well done Khukri.

  • Thank you! It has been doing a real good job for me, I am glad you enjoyed the video.

  • Yea, excellent chopper. I really like the simplicity of the handle, it flows really well with the entire blade. That and the kydex sheath (watched the kit video) is really awesome.

  • i like the whole set up, very nice.

  • Thank you, it really has worked out well. everything is right there where you can get to it.

  • Hi Jim, looks like a good knife. Is it 5160 you're using for it and what thickness is the blade?

  • Yes sir it is, and it is a little over 1/4 wide at the thickest part and tapered front and back.

  • Thanks for the reply. Working on a big bush knife myself at rhe moment for Seanmulhall, so I'll send you the review vid if you want.

Never used 5160, but I hear good things.

Your dimensions seem sound also. Keep up the good work Jim!

  • Thanks, I cannot wait to see the video!

  • A (very) long time reply,

well, I've moved house, become a full time knifemaker & the knife's made & the customer has had it for about 10 months, youtube user seanmulhall, the knife video is called : Silver Fox Bushcraft Knife.

I want to say a big thank you also, one of my newest customers came to me with a request to use your 'striking notch' in the spine of the blade.

When it is made we will show you if you like.

    Hope all is well Jim,

    Chris

  • Congratulations! I saw the video a while back but I did not know it was your blade, very very cool knife! You really put some thought into the design of the blade and the sheath. Please send some pics!

  • to see the sheer power of khukri and skill of gurkha when they handle it, watch this video ===> "way of the gurkha warrior"

  • Great work, as usual Mr. Lane!

  • Thanks bud, hows the fish'in been?

  • Thank you! IFI forum is a fantastic place, the folks there have really helped me out on my different projects.
