Glad to see so many folks standing up for the right of giant insurance corporations to steal people's premiums for years and then deny them care when they need it ("Rescission"), as the CEOs of major insurers said they plan to keep doing when they testified to Congress a few weeks ago.

History shows that ALL government run health care programs deny benefits, either as a means to keep the program solvent or because of the incompetence of the bureaucracy created to oversee its operation. At least with the private option, you can change companies or take them to court. I'll take a corrupt private company over a corrupt government program any day.

Examination of current social care programs in other Western industrial nations shows that far LESS is denied regularly than through our current patchwork corporate insurance. Remember, insurers MAKE MONEY by DENYING care! And how exactly do I "change companies"? I have what insurance my job offers, that's it. Take them to court? Sure I have $10 grand sitting around, and I can wait 2 years thru the appeals for my liver transplant. I have no control over CEOs, but government I can vote for!

Whether care is denied to "make money" or denied to "save the system", services will be denied. If that's your issue, Nationalized Care will make things worse. Ask any veteran who uses our National System now (the VA Hospital System). Weeks to make appointments... months to receive treatment and drugs. A vast federal bureaucracy is NOT the means to deliver heath care efficiently. Add the fact that this economy can't afford another Trillion Dollar hit. National Care is a NOT an option. Thanks.
