If i was steve balmer. I would use the wp7 os and create a portable gaming device like the PSP with controls on the side of the screen. It would have all the functionality of a Windows Phone except for the phone part. Like an iPod touch. Use it to compete with the PSP. That would make them a profit on this.

WP7 is so awesome unfortunately the carriers dont push it very well. Walked into the verison store yesterday saw all kinds of ads for the droid, bb, and iPhone. All of them were easy to find all of them were in demo mode. Asked the rep if they had a windows phone. He said it was in the back but not on display.

Sadly, Microsoft came out with this technology way too late as other smart phone manufactures has their own operating system and no longer need MS Windows O/S Phone. I like the concept that the apts are much bigger than any smart phone, but no one needs to depend on MS any more.

@patsaxon Never too late my friend. With Nokia dropping support of Symbian and plummeting Blackberry markets, I can say that the OS war has just heated up. WP7 is a fresh new take that is very different from the approach of Android and Iphone. I agree they are a little behind on cutting edge tech and a large appstore. But that is changing fast. Their interface is their key weapon and my is it fast and stable or what. Super slick OS.

Absolutely incredible OS. Miles ahead of IOS and Android. I just came off of an iphone 4 and I absolutely Love WP. Im never going back to Iphone. Everything is just so much easier and functional on Windows phone. It puts a smile on my face everytime I look at it. I love the tiles. Theres always something new to see. Not a grid of icons. I see my friends and family instead.
