Finally someone that plays the hi-hat beats just right. I see too many covers that people think they can pull it off just by playing straight quarter notes but that's wrong. It is straight eighth notes nice and clean great cover. Only thing you forgot is the ride in the bridge.

Sure. I am running each mic to a mixer and mixing and EQ-ing it there before I send it to my recording source. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I will be glad to help.

That's kinda how I pictured it working... but since you have all the mics going to the mixer, you really have to make sure the EQ's and levels are tight because it all records it onto a single track, right?

Yes. I would strongly recommend some good sound deadning headphones. I use a set made by Vic Firth. This helps you get a decent mix while playing the kit by cutting out much of the acoustics of the kit.
