I disagree... I've had the same thing happen to me before. I also beat the living s&!% out of the guy, when we unexpectedly ran into each other later that afternoon. I've since forgiven her, and we're somewhat friends now. If you were to have said that it was impossible for you to be able to trust him again, I could believe that. This isn't place place to debate Christianity vs atheism. I do think for myself, I believe in the Bible, and I believe that God wins in the end as it is written.

God created us in his image and we have the "power" to choose between right and wrong. God does not allow bad things to happen, it's a direct result of our rebellion against him which results in the fallen world we live in. Until Jesus comes back, and He will come back again, this world is the battleground between good and evil.

@E525 God did make each and everyone of us in his own image. But he did not make us follow other God's. The reason some of us do follow other God's is because we chose to. That would be taking us back to the whole thing on free will. God does not make us love him or follow him. He lets us chose. This is true if you ask any Catholic or Christian. We chose to follow God because we want to. That is why there are other religions and beliefs, those are people choosing to follow that.

EVen though is does say in Genesis that on the seventh day He rested, this was to provide a model for our lives in following him. And even though we do traditionally gather on Sunday to worship at church, that's not the only day of worship and prayer - this happens everday as I can personally attest.
