So jazz musicians are 'untrained'? I would agree that the sound sucks on the recording considering you see no mics on the horns and the whole rhythm section is directly miced. Actually, a good band but very poorly recorded.
Huh, not the same chart as the Basie band "Moten Swing" at all (arrangement)...how can it have the same dynamic constrast if the music is not written the same way? Does not make much sense really to comment on the chart.

You've got to have some more dynamic contrast in it. That's the whole point of Count Basie. It sounded like one or two continous dynamics
