The reofrm party never should have merged with the PC party.

They should have thought about the distant future, rather than the immidiate future.

Eventually, the PC party would have died and the Reform party would have taken over the right wing completely.

History always repeats itself. The PCs attacked Chretien's face, the Liberals attacked the faith of Manning, Day and Harper. They're all equal as far as I'm concerned. Nobody's dealing with the issues. People need to be engaged emotionally. Appealing to their intellect gets you a minority movement voting libertarian. People want to be inspired. Chretien for a little while did that. And he had our sympathy. The policies never really matter. The country is run by special interests anyway.
