  • მიყვარხარ...ძალიანოოოოოოოოოოოოოოოოოო...ჩემი სუნთქვა ხარ.....

  • Who cut out the best fuckin part?

  • WHAT THE FUCK?!?! Ruined a great song

  • Why cut the instrumental break out???

  • she looks a little terrified right?

  • @shaqinnewyork terrified, don't know...misplaced, for sure!!

  • platanes :D

  • What a great legacy ... I worked at Caesars in Atlantic City in 1980-81 and Sam Butera played in the lounge there, which was my introduction to Louis Prima and the band ... what a great gift Sam had and what a great partner he was to Louis and the group. I would be proud of Jimmy Vincent too if he was my dad.

  • @Avowhealth this . this is why i like to read youtube commentaries ... this is history ...atlantic city 1980 ...

  • @JuBa347 Thanks for post with date. I was wondering why no Keely. 1980 explains it. Man, they were GRRREAAAT together!! That whole moment in time, the band was slammin' and Louie & Keely had chemistry magic!!

  • Gia Maione

  • Who cut off Sammy's solo

  • 1:40 error :(((((((((((

  • who is the sax player epic!

  • brilliant footage.. such confidence and smooth...

  • why does everybody skip the fuckin solo

  • @TheViralNation that s criminal ....... solo skipping :(

  • @dreamingdancer0027 TOTALLY!!!

  • @TheViralNation he was a trumpeter. people skip him

  • @TheViralNation Makes me nuts when they do that!! Like, in a once in a lifetime unbelievable, guitar/drum/sax,etc solo, the camera is on the face of the performer!! grrr

  • Louis Prima still alive? it will be awesom go to him concert

  • Swing Louis Swing!!

    ,,,,,,,,BONA SERA!!

    -Sandy Mally

  • I Love Louis!! AND ALL HIS MUSIC AND DANCING, AND A GREAT PERFORMER AND DANCER,,,,,,,,,,BONA SERA!!

    -Sandy Mally

  • pulou uma parte da musica.mesmo assim, a musica continua muito boa!

  • The Classics will never die!!!

Long live the past when things were Grand.

  • Who played trombone, or was it just a prop?

  • @tromboneJTS

that's Lou Sineaux on tb. Like Louis and Sam, he is from N O. He is seen playing more on some of the other videos. He was a regular with the group during these years.

  • @tb261 Thank you. I have looked for some videos where he plays a solo, but have not found any yet.

  • @tromboneJTS About Lou Sineaux : I first knew him ( just as a fan) in N O in later years as Lou Sino. So When I saw your comment I googled that that name and .... wow .( Google lou sino . The 1st one i get is a youtube I cant link here) there may be more stuff via google, but I looked at this and had to let you know about it right away. He was a wonderful player and entertainer as a leader in NO in his later years. ( also : I just saw another spelling -- Scioneaux )

  • @tb261 Thanks a ton. I will search Google with the updated info.

  • @tromboneJTS there used to be a video up for hey marie where the guy just wails on the sax, unfortunatly not up any more

  • That's not Keely Smith, it's Gia Prima (Gia Maione).

  • @JoJo Drummers Jimmy Vincent is amazing on the drums! My husband and I DVR'd the PBS special and watch his drum solo over and over again when he is doing the impressions while on the drums. We marvel at how amazing he is and how it is impossible to find talent like that these days. whenever we have someone over we make them watch it!!!!

  • That chick behind him looks freaked OUT!

  • @Sue71 That's Keeley Smith

  • @Mikerty391 Really? She looks so different from the other videos. Didn't he sing with other ladies after he & Keely broke up?

  • @Sue71 she ruins it...trying not to look at her, where was Keely? They were really special together...can't post it but love the song. They obviously just didn't know WHAT to do with this chick!! :-/

  • I remember if you got this guy and Soupy Sales both in the same evening,

might as well forget about getting any SLEEP that night!

  • R.I.P. Sam Butera, May you rest in peace.

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • @kingsamloomis buena sera

  • Does anyone know where this footage is from? A TV show, live shoe, movie?

  • @jiveaces They used to play The Sahar at Vegas, it could be somewhere similar.

  • papa - danke für alles!

  • This jazzcat was really incredible. His music really swings.

  • see on youtube lauru si circotasii i sing rock in my hause ilove sou much roc and rool lary din rominia bucarest sunt inotator 37 ani pitesti arges 0742345259 la revedere

  • The guts of this song is missing...the sax solo. I wonder where Keely Smith was? Maybe this was later after they separated. Louis Prima played the late show in Las Vegas and all the rat pack would relax and see his show after theirs. The energy of his music is amazing....there are several great CD's out of Louis Prima and Keely Smith.

  • Who was the idiot who eliminated Sam Butera's sax solo...pathetic!

A friggin' travesty...It all works like clockwork without some jelly brain thinking he knows better---YOU RUINED THE PERFORMANCE! PUT IT BACK!

  • why they cut off sam's solo??

  • I don't care who is who. I just love the music and enjoy it. I wish they make now these days the same music. Bot no, now it is someone feat someone crap.

  • fantastic

  • 11 people dont have the money to buy a ringa !!!

  • Really Great Louis Number!

  • One of the best quality Louis Prima videos on YouTube - thank you for this treasure 'uneteanuestrasecta'. Louis P was an awesome talent. I wish I could go back in time to watch an his band perform live to really soak up the magic. Very sadly missed but still very much enjoyed.

  • Nothing but respect for Louis and his guys (and girl), they gave a new meaning to the word SWING !!

  • Como vas a cortar el solo de Sam Butera!, estas loco......no entendés nada....

  • Como vas a cortar el solo de Sam Butera!, estas loco......

  • good music!!!!!

  • LISTEN UP!! SAM BUTERA WAS A GIANT!! DON'T CUT THE SAX SOLOS!!!

  • that chick in the back at .05 just bugs her eyes out and it freaks me out

  • @DanielBecker123

It was part of their comedy routine.

  • @DanielBecker123 Lol, that is Louis fifth wife Gia Malone.

  • @DanielBecker123 Lol, that is Louis fifth wife Gia Malone.

  • My dad played trumpet in Louis Prima's big band when he was with Keely Smith. My dad left Louis's band with 4 other to form "The Goofers". This is a great walk down memory lane. Thanks.

  • His life story would make a great movie.

  • cat de superba este melodia , imi place foarte mult ............

  • where can i get this whole thing on dvd?

  • When you went to see Louie you got your monies worth

He had more rythum in his little finger than today's

what they call singers have in their bodies

  • whats up with the cut...?

  • bummer that ill never be able to see a louie prima show...ah well, this is close enough

  • Pretty amuzing...but I still love to listen to the studio recording. Thanks for posting !!

  • Bad bit of editing there my friend. What did happen to that sax solo. Oh, and the ending of the song?

  • Why did you cut out Sam Butera's Sax solo? That ruined the whole clip.

  • bryndza urwany srodek solowka na saksie

  • Very under rated artist. I used to watch and listen records of him in the dark an quiet cos of the comunist system in may country.

  • Some sad news:Sam Butera,Louis Prima's tenor sax player died in june at 81,sam butera suffered from alzheimers in his final yearsI saw sam butera and the wildest several times in atlantic city and they were awesome

  • The Tenor Sax solo was the highlight of this great song.

  • why cut out the tenor solo? what a drag....

  • He had such great phrasing! No one else had that voice! This brings me back to the days of the swing revival in the 90's...

  • Putin cam prea jupan Louis Prima. Dincolo mult de vremurile lui... Tot respectul !

  • "Buona sera. Ababala-du-tilli-bud-ti-bud".

    That's why I love Louis

  • muzica adevarata nu zgomot(real music not noise) from Romania

  • aaah! the king!

    cheers from Brazil, my friend!

  • I hope they found Buddha and achieved enlightenment

  • That was my father "Jimmy Vincent" on the drums. Gia Prima singing, Sam Butera on the sax, Rolly D'orio on bass, Morgan Thomas on trumpet.

  • Love your dad. Bobby Morris, Paul Ferrara, Harvey Lang, and the great Jimmy Vincent; true Masters. With Sam's passing, not much left that will ever swing like they did. Your dad was great.

  • Wow! I couldn't say it better than jascha - they could swing!

  • @JoJoDrummers Your father was a fantastic drummer!

  • @JoJoDrummers and im god ^^

  • Who were his back up guy singers. They were part of the crew back then.

  • When I watch this video I can imagine the 1950's and what is was like for true coolness.

  • i like the cool ness of this song. Louis could words together and make it sound so good.

  • Hey Louie HAS SOOOOO MUCH Soul! I love it!

  • The lady behind him is Gia. They were married and stayed together until his death.

  • I wish it was the full version, who the hell cut it in half.

  • I believe that was Gia his wife at the time.

  • Very good song by Louie

  • Louis Prima- the best

  • =))

  • super super

  • This song makes me feel so happy, love love love Louie.

  • What an awesome entertainer he was!

  • I love this guy!!!!! Damn I wish I grew up in that era.....That was music!!!!!!

  • the girl makes me laugh

  • Louis was the king, but Sam was the Crown Prince. They were perfect together.

  • hey his grandson is in my class.

  • dat must be koooool....his grandfather is the king of swing :)

  • ahhh this guy is kool!

    im only 16!!

  • Can someone tell me y the girl behind him looks like she's freaking out right near the beinning?

  • I guess old Louis farted...pasta e fagioli!

  • that's keely smith....i guess

  • Actually, that is the young, talented, Gia Maione, & his wife, to boot. I was a member of a band called, The Rhythm Masters, & we had the good fortune to work with Louis & Sam Butera a number of times during the early/mid 60's @ Harrahs in Reno & Lake Tahoe. My favorite act of all time.

  • Color me jealous!

  • Louis Prima...Italian style. Great!

  • personalmente io preferisco la versione di Fred Buscaglione, comunque bravissimo Prima

  • OK - I found the full song on iTunes under "Buona Sera - Artist - Gia Maione." It features San Butera on a sax solo which is unfortunately way too short. I have no idea why anyone would want to cut his part out of this video, but I've listened to the song quite a number of times now. His style of playing was wonderful, and I don't know anyone today who can compare. We need more Louis Prima's, Sam Butera and the Witnesses in our world today.

  • Can anyone out there tell me where this clip came from? I would like to obtain the full clip, including the horn solos in the middle. I've been unsuccessful in locating it so far. Knightsix

  • great artist great song

  • If ever a man loved life and performing, its got to be Louis Prima, the smile the voice, the improvised little body moves and his trumpet playing just makes you want to smile grab your honey and dance! RIP Louis, they broke the mold when you were created!

  • sounds good!!

  • Louis Prima....definitelly a big part of that time , and probably be forever remembered as an incredible performer of all time..

I work one of the shows here in Vegas and I have been fortunate enough to meet 2 of his children Louis Prima Jr and Lena Prima who are amazing performers themselves...I will never forget it...

  • Ok...not Lou Sino (trombone), he was part of the band later, but after this act. This is Jimmie "Little Red" Blount. He was the best those first years, long live Red, blow Red blow!!!

  • a great entertainer...his voice was so unique and he had such stage presence!

i grew up on this stuff...even tho' im only 21

    riposa in pace!

  • great,he was soo talented,iám glad to see it on youtube

  • Last Sunday while munchin' slow cooked dry ribs with my in laws, Ted, my father in law recalled some gigs he did with Louis while AWOL in NY during WWII. His description of those times was as exciting as Louis' bubbly and yet profoundly Jazzed act. Louis is one of the all time best. Love to Keely from Teddy and bette in Canada!

  • The wildest...

  • So nice you layed this video.. Louis Prima is the best.. he is like a pioneer... (1910-1978).. good job thanks:)

Ooh yea.. I like Louis Prima :))

  • is there a video of louie and sam doing next time? i played for my 10 and 12 year old nephews and they loved it. they just kept singing it over and over.

  • who is the trombone player in this video? he seems to be in all of the great louis primas videos

  • Lou Sino(Spelled wrong; excuse) I believe from Mobile. Wife and I were in New Orleans around 1979 and his photo was on the wall and I commented, I wondered what happens to him and someone said he was the trombone in front of me. I requested Tiger Rag from the album and he played just like on the album

  • where can you buy louis prima music? he is fantastic.

  • concord records ...re-issues ...fabulous !!!

  • Louie prima what a great performer...entertainer,,,was around from 1929-1975 ! very few down periods...esp when he brought in Sam Butera . Of course him and keely Smith had a special "thing" BUT he orchestrated the whole "dead pan" act she had,but He was already a BIG star. After the split up, Louie remained a BIG star while Keely wasn't as big despite her Great voice...

  • keely very famous with a big following ..

    she is still singin' ...

she was at the cafe carlyle last year & still tours !

  • Why would you edit out Louis Prima's Jazz Bands Solo And Time To Shine? Are you crazy? Other than that......AWESOME VIDEO!

  • do you have a version of this with the tenor solo?

  • The best,the wildest...

  • Every holiday me and my family listen to loui prima. He is awsome. We are all 100% italian

  • the gratest!

  • the greatest

  • louie..the greatest..every one came to see him he was the rave..Frank and Sammy wondered who "what the buzz was"...he did every song better thna anyone else EXCEPT possibly lazy river (mills Bros) but louie's was way up beat...and great he wrote sing sing sing and sunday kind of love (harptones sang it )

  • Hi, me too!!!

  • That does look like Bob rosario. Too bad the tenor solo is cut out.

  • thank you i have sweet memories from this

  • I love Louis! I love all the Louises cause i'm Louis too.

  • Hi, me too!

  • I believe the pianist in this video is Bobby Rosario.

  • man....i could listen to this stuff all night long!....don't make em like louis prima anymore.....unfortunately

  • I am Fabian Doulton a piano player from New Orleans and I always sign off with this number and I heard it here for the first time and I do it almost perfectly at Schiro's Restaurant on the corner of St. Roch and Royal in the French Quarter. Ciao !

  • Hey can you tell me the name of this song? Thank you.

  • The song is Buona Sera. It's such a beautiful song, this video is magical.

  • His version of Saint Louis Blues is one of the most exciting performances ever recorded. I say it ranks up there with James Brown at the Apollo. It is totally freaky exciting. Louis was mad man a funny mad man!

  • Hi - can anyone tell me where this clip came from? An old movie, perhaps? A promo of sorts? I would like to obtain the full clip in order to hear the song intact with Louis' horns blowing the bridge. Thanks John

  • guy makes me proud to be Italian American

  • he did record a lot of Italian records along with his usual swing songs that he was so good at

  • Qualcuno mi può dire dove posso trovare la versione integrale di tale filmato?

  • I think that keely smith was alot better than Gia. She had a better vioce and a more known and lovable personality.

  • Just seems bizarre that they are cutting the sax solos

  • cuttin Sam out should be considered a crime!! He was the coolest!

  • sam was a great sax player AND a great singer. he and louie doing NEXT TIME, is a classic but its a shame more people haven"t heard it in this era.

  • It's rather sad.

  • Can anyone tell me where this clip was originally recorded? I don't understand why they cut the solo bridge out of this - it makes the entire song. I would like to obtain the full clip if possible. Knightsix

  • You'll never see or hear anything as clever, cute or swinging again. Represents a great era in American music. The same notes exhist today but the world is too dark, sick and disturbed.

  • well said.

  • Great entertainer.

  • This is a very nice song, and I am glad to hear it, again, after many years. The Melody and the lyrics are great.
