I've seen many lights like this one on Portsmouth, both at night and during the day. I also see a lot of military craft, could they be trying to keep these lights at bay???

I live in Portsmouth, and I remember once we were on a boat in Langstone Harbour, and we saw about 5/ 6 lights in the sky and it looked like they were moving in and out of formation. I ended up getting really hopeful I'd actuallly seen some UFOs, but it turned out they were lanterns... -_-

I have definately seen something similar as I was in my car over Portsmouth harbour about 6 years ago, my friend was also in the car and saw it to. It was up high in the sky like a tiny light bulb which got very slightly bigger like it was coming towards us then suddenly shot off to the right at speed.

Hey, I live on Hayling Island, and I saw something simular to this, but I phoned up the lifeguard station a day later, and they said they had been testing flares that night. So bear that in mind, especially since we live near the sea.

This is cool though. It's moving and Changing colour! O.O

Thank you all for taking the time to watch this video and for your comments. I have seen other lights above portsmouth since but by the time I get my cam they're gone already. Hope to capture something again soon.

Ps, sorry the autofocus kept trying to get the closest thing ie the roof :o(

I live in southsea and have seen things similar to this twice. One time there appeared to be 1 then another appeared behind it and and then another all equal distance apart and then disappeared one at a time with first disappearing first. When i saw them it was a lot darker which caused them to glow brighter. I was outside, if they were helicopters i would have certainly heard the noise and they moved far to slow.

if it was a helicopter you would be able to see a helicopter not a ball of light.

Saw something similar on the same night in Oxon, floating past. Thought it may have been a chinese lantern. Got a vid on my phone but cant upload it...who knows!!

Ps, if it was a helicopter the shape, size & amplitude of light would have differed as it changed direction. A UFO doesn't have to be alien to be classed as one, I'm not silly enough to believe in little green men.
