In spite of this corruption in India, democracy brings at least accountability that makes our leaders responsive and responsible for getting things done (however poorly) as soon as people start getting agitated. There are random examples here and there where things get done well too (highways project, delhi metro, dams and infrastructure recently, poverty alleviation)
There was one more PM of India. Gulzari Lal Nanda. He used to travel by bus after he quit office. Very honest person.
But these are exceptions. The rule now is become a DADA/Progress as MLA/MP/Progress as Minister, Swindle funds so that you can purchase media and votes, retain the power, keep swindling in a never ending cycle. Remorseless and shameless people. Over and above a clear dynasty trend. Father becomes minister and grooms son in the same way. That is INDIAN POLITICIANS

why India has progressed and Pakistan not may be due to the path chosen by their rulers. When India tried to be self reliant, Pakistan chose to import every thing needed from other countries. The foreign currency was not a problem for Pak as it got financial aid from US.
Pakistan can also make Progress if it reduces expenditure on deffence and make peace with India.
(3) Just couple of days back one of the ex CM of Jharkhand was hollered up for appropriating 5000 crore when he was a CM as an independent MLA thorught suport of congress.. This thug could not get certificate of honesty because he is no longer with congress.
Mind you this is the level of our socalled honest politician like PM . Let us not even talk about the ones who are considered corrupt.
(2) Recently he was rueing how high and mighty get away with the crime in India btu very next day when the corruption of 60000 crore % 5 billion $ caem up against one of his minister Mr Raja, Manmohan Singh Jee gave him clean chit even before CBI could complete its job. Now CBI works under Manmohan what are the chances that CBI will act without bias when your PM himself is giving certificat oe fhonesty to the thug minister concerned..
Having said that we do have our fair share of corrupt gits as of today. For instance look at the list of latest cprruption cases and how Dr. Manmohan Singh is indifferent towards them
(1) Manmohan Singh jee released bfors kickback account of Quttrochi and when media made noise he first lied that nothign like that happend but when evidence came as usual his reply was I was not in the know
1: Javed Chaudhary Jee you have picked one of the very best example from India's politicians. Even today we have honest politicians like him. But to juxtapose pakistani politician against very best from India is little unfair to them. I don't know but I am reasonably sure even pakistan might have few politicians like him. Still there is no doubt Indian politician come of as saint in comparison to Pakistani politician.

1. Secularism
2. Opening up Indian market to global competition which made Indian business leaders much more competitive
3. Agriculture and White revolution
4. A few good bureaucrats like Delhi Metro Rail head
5. Availability of higher education
6. Best in class institutions like IIT/IIM/BITS/etc
7. The younger generation coming out of the colonial mindset which the previous generation carried as a baggage.

why India has progressed and Pakistan not may be due to the path chosen by their rulers. When India tried to be self reliant, Pakistan chose to import every thing needed from other countries. The foreign currency was not a problem for Pak as it got financial aid from US.
Pakistan can also make Progress if it reduces expenditure on deffence and make peace with India.

(3) Just couple of days back one of the ex CM of Jharkhand was hollered up for appropriating 5000 crore when he was a CM as an independent MLA thorught suport of congress.. This thug could not get certificate of honesty because he is no longer with congress.
Mind you this is the level of our socalled honest politician like PM . Let us not even talk about the ones who are considered corrupt.

1: Javed Chaudhary Jee you have picked one of the very best example from India's politicians. Even today we have honest politicians like him. But to juxtapose pakistani politician against very best from India is little unfair to them. I don't know but I am reasonably sure even pakistan might have few politicians like him. Still there is no doubt Indian politician come of as saint in comparison to Pakistani politician.
