@adrijansakoman You run at the basket, and press the shoot button. Don't do it if people are in the way though. I also suggest not using really tough teams, or you will find the game boring.

I'll be honest, I've played both Live & 2K and I'm no fanboy, there's things in both that need fixing. NBA Live I would say the main thing that needs fixing is the facial characteristics and physical features of the players and with 2K the gameplay and physics needs fixing. I'd pick gameplay over graphic quality any day unless one was alot better than the other. So I'd pick NBA Live.

Development drills weren't new at the time, they had them in NBA 2K8. This shows you how much these reviewers look at games. Look up the 2k8 review and they speak nothing of it...

@Methodcripwalker Updating rosters doesn't put new players into the game. It only changes what teams they play for. You have to get 2k10 to get the newer players. 2k11 is coming out so there is no point of getting 2k10 now anyway.

just got ps3 for x-mas and got nba2k9 used for $17 bux I like it alot better than the nba live 10 demo I tried. alot more combos and options with nba2k9. at 1st it was hard and stuff but I am getting better at it and its great! I am the Cavs and traded Wallace,Serbimask,Smith and Pavovich for Parker, Moon and Shaq so I am pretty much up to date on rosters now. only thing is AP(anthony parker) is unhappy cause he don't start. i use him 3/4th the game and he still bitches.

i've been playing since 2k2. 2k9 is cool and realistic.but its THE most frustrating game ever made. on a bad day, u miss all your open shots, especially 3's. and while ur missing shots, the cpu gets shots in the post and get the foul. so basically ur screwed. i got severe depression at one point from this game and i needed a little time off it. this can happen alot. otherwise i would give it a 7.5. oh and when u hit ur shots and the cpu doesnt hit 3's in ur face all day, best game ever

Play 9 minutes chris. I do it and i get scores like 95-85 or like that.. The only problem is that less time means less shots meaning less rebounds and blocks for the statistics of your big men in season
