If this is true, then why don't you train your biceps so they will extend all the way down to your elbow and get rid of that 2 inch gap you have? Because its not possible! You have such a high insertion point of where your bicep attaches so its not surprise you have a good peak, but you of course lack fullness near your elbows. It is genetics. You want to prove to me bicep shape is not genetic...I challenge you to get rid of that 2 inch gap between your bicep and your elbow. Nuff said.
thats from doing half-reps. not good. if you can get anymore then 2 fingers in there between the start of your bicep and the beginning of your forearm, not good.
The only evidence shown in the pictures is that the right and left arm aren't the same haha. look at both your arms in the mirror right now, they both look different its the same for everyone...and also lets just give you some true evidence. The short bicep cant grow longer, it can only grow up. let me say that again, a short bicep like yours Lui, can only grow up, can also get a little thicker but mostly UP. lol thats why your bicep has such a peak/tip.
@zigio1000 Muscle is Muscle. You're talking about the morality and use of the muscle. A person that works in the field can definitely grow strong from doing the work and may do it more efficiently than someone that's much stronger that came from working out in the gym simply because you have muscle memory on your side. But wherever the real practicality in muscles truly lies, society has transformed it into ways of art and sport.

hey luimarco, when i started working out 2 years ago..the only thing i did was arms. everyday for about 2-3 months a day. i did curls but not including preacher curls. none at all actualy. now im wondering if i should keep doing what im doing OR start doing the preacher curls you say is the best bicep workout ?

I'm not really sure if you can call that hard evidence.. The real fact is that you just have more developed muscles in the second picture. Your biceps have simply grown a lot bigger but so have your lats your triceps and your shoulders and they too are differently shaped obviously. How many years are there between those pictures?
@luimarco Well from what I know, I would say that your biceps still would have gotten the same developement and the same peak-shape even if you hadn't changed your bicep-routines.

The all-over difference is pretty significant and that leads me to believe that you would have gotten the same peak no matter what exercises you would have chosen. The other thing I noticed is that your left bicep does not have the very same peak-developement as your right. I you were to compare your left bicep then to your left bicep now the difference would not be as drastic.
@ObliquusExternus What I mean to say is not that you can't develope a peak. My point is simply that I don't believe that you can do it by choosing a specific exercise that will magically "target" or "isolate" the peak of the bicep and make it grow. However I do believe that you can develope a peak through a lot of bicep training. Just like the bicep grows larger the shape of it will also change.
@luimarco That's correct and I'm aware of the fact that I don't have anywhere near as much experience as you have in the subject. Still it just seems strange to me that you'd get optimal results from doing just one single exercise.. What happened to the theory of muscle-confusion? Sure you can change the number of sets and reps in a variety of different ways but how about working the bicep from different angles and so on?
Hey Lui, is it possible to change the lenght of your biceps? I have short ones, and i wonder if there is a exercise to "stretch" them, so you don't have a large gap between your elbow and your biceps when they're flexed?
@G7Thre3 yes it works but don't mess with high doses , trust me it can lead to Gyno. try 45% concentration and only 750 Mg a day it's enough ( more sex drive , better mood)

Great stuff Lui! Way to not let those twins get away with planting false info into people's heads. They have interesting theories and advises, majority of which are passable, but they fell short in proving some of their theories with hard evidences. Three years is just not enough of a time frame to have a know-it-all attitude. I am sure they will cringe at some of their videos 5-10 years from now!
Hi got a random question for you.. During wide grip pull-ups (i no u dont like them but i was doing a home w/o at the time ie no heavy weights for rows) i think i injured my left bicep, as i had an unual amount of pain and couldnt get the inside head of my bi to flex. I rested a few days and all pain is gone, but now i notice that when im working on bi's, at the top of the movement my left like splits in two (??) leaving a flat or even heart shape on top of my bi. Any thoughts? Time for the doc?
@LoVeS2SpOoGeMaN its not like a dramatic split, but definitey enough for me to notice, and definitey different to the roundness of the right. Im just not sure if this has come about due to incorrect/unbalanced training, or if its an injury (no real pain to speak or any more) or if its normal and just carry on. That video of Coe flexing and showing the split between the two heads of the bi made me to ask :)

Yeah great video lui, i was watching a Rob Riches vid last week with him working the biceps and he was doing preacher curls in his workout but also doing seated dumbell curls. I no you like to do preacher curls exclusively but do you rate seated curls at all!!

@LoVeS2SpOoGeMaN its not like a dramatic split, but definitey enough for me to notice, and definitey different to the roundness of the right. Im just not sure if this has come about due to incorrect/unbalanced training, or if its an injury (no real pain to speak or any more) or if its normal and just carry on. That video of Coe flexing and showing the split between the two heads of the bi made me to ask :)

Yeah great video lui, i was watching a Rob Riches vid last week with him working the biceps and he was doing preacher curls in his workout but also doing seated dumbell curls. I no you like to do preacher curls exclusively but do you rate seated curls at all!!

@evans81xxx i do them with Hammer to target Brachialis not the biceps. i like to exaggerate my peaks so i stand exclusively with the preachers

Just slightly offtopic: Check Markus Ruhl's biceps. He's obviously jacked (24" arms or so), but man check those biceps, holy SH what a peak.
