Im 16 and also suffer from pectus excavatum, and went to the doctors about 2months ago. And will be having surgery winter this year. I'm not having that bar surgery as my dip is only on the one side, but instead im having the cartilage to my sternum stripped down to the membrane so it can re-grow. I was wondering if youve had your surgery yet, and if you have can ypou upload your results? :)
Im 17 soon and i have this same pectus excavatum. It's knocking my confidence. I do deal with it quite well and it wont stop me from taking my shirt off but when people make comments it really does knock my confidence. I've been browsing the internet and you tube and i've just found out like you did i can get this done?
@vented345 1. It's for on the NHS, cosmetically and if it's affecting your health.
2. Yes, very, your first 3 months post-op will have significant pain.
3. Yes, the size and amount of scars depend on which operations you undergo
4. Speak to your GP, no doubt he will send you for an x-ray and then say it's not serious, ignore the bullshit and demand you get referred to a specialist.
5. VERY MUCH SO, people say it's the best decision they have made.
I have that same problem in the chest but with some exercise I've tried to hide you know any exercise routine you can use in addition to those that already do or how I can try to solve this problem other than surgery
In the UK you dont need to have a pysical complaint to get them to fix it, I personally have a lot of discomfort with mine (especially when I work out) but all doctors insist that theres no problem, so their reason for doing it is cosmetic, but my heart and lungs Will have more room. I get the surgery next week, Im 30 now , wished i'd had it done when i was 23! better while your younger and healthier.
@43210minus1 I think its the 'modified nuss' (The one where they cut out your sternum and flatten it and replace it) The one where they cut holes either side and flip a bar over should only be done for young teens still growing, as doesnt seem to work in filly formed adults. Its at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital. I will upload my pre-op video this saturday.
@ReeceBorn your having the ravitch, you can have the nuss in adults I have seen it done and the results are amazing nuss is bars throuugh chest ravitch is the vertical scar, i was suppose to have it done in backpool victoria last year. check this forum out if you have not already.
@43210minus1 I dunno why the Doc said it was the Nuss (lets hope he knows what he's talking about lol) unless UK & US definitions are different Ravich is the 'inventor' and original op. I also dunno why in the US they seem to get Horizontal incisions than vertical? anyway I wil explain the rest on saturday on my channel
@judefekter i've been doing push ups and bench press for about 3 months now and i notice it's slowly covering it up. my PE is not as bad as the guy in the video
@muma0449 Well that is good, it took for my bro 3 years to train away pectus and they remove the bar from your body after 3 years so if it is not too bad like yours i would train it away :)
Let me tell ya it's not a big deal, for thouse of you who likes to work out and to get ripped go to gym. My brother had this and he fought for 3 years and u know what happened? the muscles had been so hard it had build up the chest, and now u can't even see my brother has pectus excavatum.Sure thing his bone is still shaped wrong, but what does it matter if the muscles makes it look normal again :)
@VisioneAstrale If it is severe yes, but if it's not the worst case you can train it away, and if you never have tried it well my brother did and it was a succsses.
Hi Rick, i have the same problem as yours, but may i ask why your doctor against the surgery at first? you had nuss or the other one? I consult doctor as well, but he said my case is too mild to have the surgery, he refused to do it.
@qing1985p Not had any surgery yet but Im getting nussed nussed next year pal. If your Doctor said no find another doctor! I had no problem my doctor didnt really want me to have surgery but he wrote to a surgeon on my behalf which was kind of him.
Ive got the same problem as you, and mine looks roughly the same as yours. But i found when building muscle in the your pectorals, if you do exercises that work the lower pectoral then you build muscle that covers it up a little more
Mate, This afternoon se consulted our 10 month son's Pedetrician & he diagnosed him with having a mild form of funnel chest. Obviously as parents we were shattered but after doing a bit of research & watching your video I found it inspiring & uplifting seeing your really positive attitude . Our little one's may still correct itself out as he develops but at least we know there are options out there in the future if it doesn't correct itself - We are in Sydney Australia
@seffiboi I never got the Implant i'm actually getting surgery i have been approved so going to go along with that, want the Nuss but its looking like i'll be getting the ravitch
@43210minus1 You can't decide for yourself whether to get the nuss or the ravitch? Personally I did the Nuss 3 and a half month ago and my recovery was pretty easy. I really recommend doing the nuss if you get to choose.
@seffiboi I have seen some brilliant nuss results and The surgeon i have met with showed me his ravitch results which on par with the nuss apart from a little vertical scar? I'm just thinking what would be best for me, I have seen both procedures fail and its a big decision I will not be making my choice till i feel certain i know which one I want. thank you for your cmment what are your results like?
@43210minus1 I had a medium/severe pectus excavatum + it was a bit non-symmetrical, and I think the results turned out pretty good. Not 100 % perfect, but thats to be expected. I don't have any dent anymore and thats the most important. When it comes to recovery it seems like I were very lucky. I only had two days of real pain (at hospital). When I came home I felt pretty sore at times but nothing more than what my painkillers could handle. I can send you a picture of my results if you want?
@43210minus1 whats up bro, your PE look exactly like mine does. I always wanted the surgery but I cant take the time off from work or sports. Why did you decid on the ravitch ? I didnt even think they did that anymore. I have heard alot of complaints about the monster scar that the racitch procedure leaves. what ever you decide, good luck thanks for posting .
@Viedelle When they did an xray on my chest they saw how deep the PE was and decided surgery would benefit me, Had to really tell my gp to do something about it at first tho as soon as I went to the hospital and got my xrays it was all go from there
I noticed that you don't seem to have that 'pot belly' effect that a lot of us pectus guys have. Did your pectus ever cause you to have posture problems and did you do corrective exercises to fix it?
@k98er I have very bad posture but I dont think that has anything to do with the PE I think that is me just slouching when I sit down to be honest, the pot belly did effect me tho but I do a lot of cardio and weight training so my stomach is ery flat now
Congratulations on your hard work at the gym. It's motivation for me to work on my own stomach. Did you by any chance have a bigger butt with the protruding stomach as well?
@k98er Yep I had a big ass wel not bog but because my posture was so bad my spine looked like a question mark lol so my ass looked like it stuck out after working on my posture it now looks like a normal bootie lol
My little sister has that pretty bad . . . 3.5 cm. It's making her unable to open her lungs to their full capacity, and may have caused a heart murmer. She's getting that surgery . . . and I'm really scared for her!!!
Hi bro, thanks for sharing, I got a body really similar to yours, maybe the hole is 0.5cm less deep.. So you didn't attempt any solution for now and you're going to be nussed, I readed from your comments :) do you usually feel any pain or chest/lungs constraint during sport, or anytime? I'd be glad to have a comparison with ya! ;) Thanks, hope everything will be gooood! Sry for my English, I'm from Rome, but at least I can tell you that your latin pronunciation was funny but quite good!! xD haha
@KillerDrummer88 Nope did not attempt the implant, Are you from the forum? :)
Your English is very good, My latin is very very poor and I'm a catholic lol
Did Not Have any pain or lung constraint my friend that I know of I use to play Rugby Semi Professional maybe so Maybe my stamina could have been better? I dont know as I have always had P.E do you get pain?
@43210minus1 hi, thanks! well, I visited a bit the first forum of PE and stuff displayin after goggle, if it's what you're talking about, but I'm not registered in it.. so your agonistic performance is completely not influenced by your "deformity"? :) good for you! I feel a bit compressed when I try to inhalate more deeply than usual, and I can swear I could fill my lungs more, like I haven't much room for now!! And after basketball(once per month, not often, ok!) my ribs and back hurt a bit..
@lesrambles1 Thanks, I'm on a waiting list for the Nuss procedure. Sorry you did not like my tattoo I am really not a vain douchebag, It started out as a little tattoo that went wrong and the artist I saw said he could cover it with a tribal so I went for that.
I like it but everyone to there own. Thanks for the comment :)
@BlackAndWhiteModding I have been working out for a year now and body building for 6 months and my dent looks very deep because of the muscle growth. You shouldnt be doing heavy lifting at 14 pal, just take it easy heavy lifting whilst your still growing can mess your body up, my friend use to train like crazy when he was 15-16 he was a beast but his back is fucked now from the weights, Good luck with your training, keep me updated on how you get on.
i could've had the nuss but wasnt suitable for it. the doc made me do this test where i held my nose, shut my mouth n blew to try & make my ears pop & he checks to see if your sternum moves & my was too rigid... he said the nuss wouldn't work for me because of this so ravitch is my only choice! nervous about it but im trying to focus on the positives for the future if i go ahead with it. i'll keep you updated! :) its great to know others who have this too! good luck with the nuss!
(sorry it wouldnt let me write any more!) hopefully we could both be 'sorted out' some time this year! and also, wheyyy you're a northerner haha, i live about 45 mins from blackpool, crazy small world!
hey 43210minus1, im a 21 year old from the UK who also has this condition :( which hospital were you referred to? I have been to Leeds hospital to see a specialist who said I can go ahead with the ravitch as i am not suitable for the nuss (age, again!)... i go back tomorrow for breathing tests & also friday for a CT scan and then a final consultation next week. I am nervous about it but think I want to go ahead with it. thanks for the vid, what a great attitude you have about it :D
@beckyboop88 Thanks for the comment, i got consulted to blackpool victoria they wanted to give me the ravitch but I will not have it, its a load of bollocks about the age for the nuss, I know lots of people older than me who have had it done! let me know how you get on? I'm hopefully getting nussed this year :)
Hi Rick ...I'm telling you a tatoo of a flat chest...I have the same dent...ribs are ok...I'm hearing all kinds of things,You have to go to Deutchland to see the master the only man in the world who works on PE people over 30.You seem to have your humor in place and that's the deal .If you can't laugh at yourself or laugh at the horror of it all well what else is there.I'll be in touch.
Good show...I have the same thing...I'm looking to get it fixed.Only major issue is I'm 48...Getting alot of varying feedback on this. Not sure how many Md's there are in NY...Keep up the good work,,...What about a tatoo over the PE make it look normal???
I love it...I have the same thing...You have a GREAT demeanor...Your description and light hearted chat about this scourge is nice to hear. It's like watching myself on YouTube.I feel exactly as you do...Most folks are ignorant about PE.I'm checking out all of my options.I don't let it get me down whats the point....I'll check in with you..I have a fist sized dent dead center chest...Later.
I've got a chronic sternal wound at the bottom of my sternum and permanant sensory neuropathy pain in my left chest because the doctor FUCKED UP my procedure. He fucked up so bad that I am going to commit suicide. . .after I blow his fucking brains out.
@43210minus1 ...Yo,I've never had a girl complain about my chest. It all vanity...Never..Had them rolling in the aisles...in the weeds,In the bathroom in the halls in the car...everywhere and anywhere.I'm a good time. But,I want to get it fixed,Don't go around without my shirt off much...Great film.I admire you putting this up.
@mycatisromeo Yo,take it easy...and what will that accomplish. You gotta find a pro bono Lawyer that will take this case non gratis until you take the fool to the bank...slow down and think it out...
hi rick, im 19 and live in the uk, i have lived with this pectus all my life, and since the age of 11 i have not once taken my top off in public :P like you, ive had no problem with girlfriends, but it is really starting to annoy me, when i play football i have to wear 2 tops, and i cant go swimming coz i dont want the hassel off people ... i was just wondering, would u have pay for the nuss procedure? or was it going through the NHS? and have you have the implant yet? was it any good? thanks..
got surgery on mine, had it very deep and now after the surgery its still not toaly gone.. but looks way better then be4. working out aswell n muscles do grow underneith it now but not very fast.. hope i can train it away with some good chest excersises :). i can recomend surgery to people who are thinking about it. its pritty painfull but u will be very pleased with the results;) and i dont care about the scar ,if anyone got questions bout surgery just ask them. will be happy to answer them
Hey man im probably similar on serverity level with you but that part of my chest section is more caved in rather than just the dent. Could be like that cuz im skinnier than you I work out but like you the muscle doesn't seem to form properly around it. My ex GF is pretty much the only person ive showed and I was happy to have my shirt off around her. She said it wasn't very noticable but I beg to differ! Do you know if corrective exercies help?
@xxxratednz I don't think corrective exercices work, not at your age, I think they would work if they are done when you are child because the deformed cartilage and the bones are soft and can be fixed.(But anyway try to do your own research) I understand why this dude didn't go for the surgery, the surgery looks brutal, they put a big piece of metal on your chest and you have to keep it there for months.
man i got the same problem, and its a good video u made,i got to get treatment cause i dont take my top of much eather..and damn i get women left right and center, like i fucked 4 girls b4 i hit 17 but u know i still wanna get the surgery done or some shit cause it bothers me
@mateliamfarac Thats why i want it repaired it really bothers me, women dont really seem to care about it, it's more of a self insecurity issue for me.
@mateliamfarac I have PE, and its never slowed me down with the ladies, and if a lady had a problem with it, than she'd be too shallow and wouldn't want her anyway.
i cant build chest muscle cause mine is kinda deep . and i only have a 4 pack cause my 2 other packs go up into my chest and it looks kinda fucked up.
Hope this went well, I had pectus too. Got it fixed a couple months back except I didn't do nuss, I did the older method with the metal bar. Glad you're doing this too. Pectus is definitely a "confidence demoralizer" for sure, great job on the video btw, it takes some courage to post the video
hey guys surgery isin't the only option its called pectus excavatum exercise .. not general exercises if ur thinking about that its a special kind of workout if u are concerned about surgery and u want to figure out some other help just pm me ill help u out
I was wondering what exercises you are talking about. I have a pectus too. I have tried general weight lifting in the past but it dosen't work too well.
i got this too but working out reli does make a bigbig difference. search skinny to buff and wach the videos another pe sufferer makes some crazy improvments to his chest if u wach the vids in correct order. might be some motivation for u
yeah im 14 and i have pretty much a reverse version of what you have i have a sturnum that sticks out its annyoing as hell and im a afriad to take my shirt of i honestly would gladly switch with you because yours doesnt show as well but anyway just saying. welcome to the club bro
so you have P.C i think its always the case i would swap with you believe me, but you do happen to be right it surely does suck> THANKS FOR THE COMMENT
@MarvelsofaLifetime, its pretty long to get back to you but right now not as bad, ive been working out and trying to make it more hidden. but honestly, the more worried you are the more it gets in the way. to answer your question bout an inch.
I had a Nuss procedure in nottingham, in 2007 by Duffy, Meant to take the bar out in 2009 Summer, but they forgotten about e, so I have just re arranged at date to take the bar out. The appearance wasn't that successful, but it has improved a bit
I'm 17. I had the surgery and it didn't work. It's slightly better then it was before but still not good at all. they said my bones were to strong to push properly forwards :(
any1 thinking of getting it done should. I used to be able to fit a coke can in there, Thinking back i should ave filled it with a fridge, which woulda been kwl but i had the nuss instead. Once you get it fixed you dont look back, your not embarrassed at all and maybe like me you might even tell people you used to have it, just to make an interesting convo. So no shame, no embarrassment and defiantly no regret!
hi loved ya vid i have it also 23 an lookin to sort it out as building muscle didnt really hepl but ya vid really helped pick me up thanks u very much well done mate
I would hate to say you're "lucky", but those who have the 'dent' in the center of their chest apparently have more favorable post-surgery results. I had my surgery to 'correct' my pectus excavatum in 1993 at the age of 32. I am unhappy with the results, but look better than I did.
I'm curious about the implant and even wrote the doctor who performed my surgery, but haven't gotten any good information as of yet. Does anyone know some information they can share?
hey man im 15, and have it goes in on one side more then the other.. im scared for the whole bar thing.. but i am embarresed about it, but all my friends allready know, and my girls dont really care, but i feel ugly without my shirt ://
Hi Rick, great to see a current video, I am 38 and am looking at having the corrective surgery, like you I do not have any breathing problems, but do not like the look of my chest, Youtube is a great place to look at the different procedures, I will have to post something, best of luck with operation, keep us all posted on which operation your having and when, cheers james
hey man im having that to but still conciddering surgery... im 17 years old now, and as you say it doesnt look good :P people stare at you in the wimming pool or on the beach or so + i get a really low selfesteem from it.
you think you have it bad? i have only the upper half of my right peck, and im in a firefighting program in college, so i work out every day, sometimes twice a day... my upper peck is about twice as big as me left upper peck, and there is a very visible difference at all times, but when i flex, i look like a gimped retard. I also suffer from decreased performance from my right side when performing chest exercises. It isn't much weaker, but it hurts and tires easier than my better side
HI, I have go pectus and it is identical to urs, i live in scotland and i am 21 in a month, i tend to keep my top on but i dont soo why i should cos it shoulnt be something to be embarassed about. i dont think i am gonna do anything about it. thanks for posting the video and good luck with you implant!
Hi. Why are you placing an implant when you can do pectus excavatum? It will raise whole sternum and chest looks even better. I am going to do that this year. It sure is painfull operation but worth of normal chest structure.
They will not place the bars in me chest because i am 23 in the u.k they say i'm to old :( so i'll get the implant! Your guitar playing is awesome! love the november rain outro!
Huh, you are scaring me. I am 33 years old and they are gonna put a bar in my chest. i have talked a lot with the surgeant and he just says that at first the pain is greater and recovery may be little slower but the results are the same. So there is going to be a lot of pain for me. I workout pretty much too so I hope I can get to the gym as fast as possible, maybe after couple of months.. ask again your doctor, I think pectus bar is much better option. thanx for checkin my playing, my hobby :)
Hi there i'm from england (manchester) and have the same probelm only mine looks worse.
I'm 23 and i'm really fed up with it, things like going on holiday sunbathing and swimming and getting looks off people really put me down.
I heard bad things about both operations as the one you mention it can get infected easily, and the bar being put in place can be risky for your health??
I think your cool for putting the video on I wouldn't have the balls like you mate!
You look great! Your condition is really not that bad compared to what I have lived with. Remember those who love you and are worthy of knowing you will always love you for the way you are and a few centimeters really doesn't matter! I know how tough adolescence can be but honestly you look great! Great tatoos too! Don't put yourself in any risk, life is too short as it is!
Im about to go through surgery for that, my case is more sever than yours. I wont get an implant, what they will do with me is, they will use the so called Ravitch Technique, where they remove the cartilage and detach the sternum, a titanium is left inside instaed of that and removed after 6 to 12 months. The pain after it is ment to be horrible, but ill live through it. hehe oh yea and for the info im 16 years Old now. Thanks for the vid and Cheers
I was going to get the ravitch procedure, but sounds a little brutal? Can you not get the nuss procedure since your 16 that would be much better for plus you wouldnt be left with a giant scar in the middle of your chest! and the results look overall better.
My doctor has been hasitating whether to do the nuss procedure or the Ratvitch technique. And as my case is more sever, that choice is not up to me. My Pectus Excavatum starts from all the way the top of my chest and goes down to the bottom, from x-rays it was shown that the distance between my spine and chest is 6cm at the closest spot. And the Ravitch Technique just seems to be better in my case. Thank you for the respond
your isn't thats bad my man. My pectus WAS real bad. It almost looked as if you can access my vertebrae by touching into my chest. I had the nuss bar put in when i was 16. Removed at 18 (almost 19). The nuss bar is not bad at all. I was back in school in two weeks. but that was just my case. I know others experienced far worse pain. I actually took the pain medication prescribed for TWO DAYS. Everyones experience is different. mine wasn't such a bad one. My chest looks GREAT. im real happy :)
In my case, it is only by aesthetic issues, I have to use certain types of shirts, that are not tight to hide my malformation, or dark colors so they do not create shadows, etc.. also to stand close to people, I have noticed that I hump unconsciously, to avoid seeing my chest I guess, I think I have given rise to problems of self-esteem. considers the option of surgery. I'm from mexico certainly and I say to you QUE WEBOS WEY!! (big balls man) and good luck if you do the surgery!
Wow! I have pectus carinatum, it would be the opposite of what happens to you, I have 22 years, and I do not remember what age she started to atrophy, but has been practically all my life, you know something has been difficult to conduct my life, try to make it normal as possible, I am in medical school, and I understood what happened to my cartilage, I also understand the risks involved by this type of surgery because of the area, and if I were not to risk surgery.
It's very brave from you demonstrate your condition and share experience with others. for me your condition looks pretty mild and am sure you'll take care of it without problems. good luck with it.
what was your result from the surgeon about the implant mate, I live in the UK up north. Im 26, have been to see a few sergeons about Nuss. But my chest wall has calcified (Hardened) so im not suitable for the Nuss. thinking of ghaving modified ravitch. let me know fella
Look at my channel I had the Nuss Procedure done. Its all about the surgery if you want more info on it.

Did you go for the implant or a surgery (if so, which one?)
seffiboi 1 year ago
@seffiboi I never got the Implant i'm actually getting surgery i have been approved so going to go along with that, want the Nuss but its looking like i'll be getting the ravitch
43210minus1 1 year ago
@43210minus1 You can't decide for yourself whether to get the nuss or the ravitch? Personally I did the Nuss 3 and a half month ago and my recovery was pretty easy. I really recommend doing the nuss if you get to choose.
seffiboi 1 year ago
@seffiboi I have seen some brilliant nuss results and The surgeon i have met with showed me his ravitch results which on par with the nuss apart from a little vertical scar? I'm just thinking what would be best for me, I have seen both procedures fail and its a big decision I will not be making my choice till i feel certain i know which one I want. thank you for your cmment what are your results like?
43210minus1 1 year ago
@43210minus1 I had a medium/severe pectus excavatum + it was a bit non-symmetrical, and I think the results turned out pretty good. Not 100 % perfect, but thats to be expected. I don't have any dent anymore and thats the most important. When it comes to recovery it seems like I were very lucky. I only had two days of real pain (at hospital). When I came home I felt pretty sore at times but nothing more than what my painkillers could handle. I can send you a picture of my results if you want?
seffiboi 1 year ago
@seffiboi yeah that would be great send me an inbox message and ill send you my email
43210minus1 1 year ago
@43210minus1 whats up bro, your PE look exactly like mine does. I always wanted the surgery but I cant take the time off from work or sports. Why did you decid on the ravitch ? I didnt even think they did that anymore. I have heard alot of complaints about the monster scar that the racitch procedure leaves. what ever you decide, good luck thanks for posting .
nyinfamous2k2 1 year ago
@nyinfamous2k2 the scars are not as bad anymore maybe a 2 to 3 inbch vertical score which is not to bad I would rather have a scar then a hole :)

Hi, thanks for putting yourself out there.
I noticed that you don't seem to have that 'pot belly' effect that a lot of us pectus guys have. Did your pectus ever cause you to have posture problems and did you do corrective exercises to fix it?
k98er 1 year ago
@k98er I have very bad posture but I dont think that has anything to do with the PE I think that is me just slouching when I sit down to be honest, the pot belly did effect me tho but I do a lot of cardio and weight training so my stomach is ery flat now
43210minus1 1 year ago
@43210minus1
Congratulations on your hard work at the gym. It's motivation for me to work on my own stomach. Did you by any chance have a bigger butt with the protruding stomach as well?

My little sister has that pretty bad . . . 3.5 cm. It's making her unable to open her lungs to their full capacity, and may have caused a heart murmer. She's getting that surgery . . . and I'm really scared for her!!!
XXdeathrosejammixXX 1 year ago
Hi bro, thanks for sharing, I got a body really similar to yours, maybe the hole is 0.5cm less deep.. So you didn't attempt any solution for now and you're going to be nussed, I readed from your comments :) do you usually feel any pain or chest/lungs constraint during sport, or anytime? I'd be glad to have a comparison with ya! ;) Thanks, hope everything will be gooood! Sry for my English, I'm from Rome, but at least I can tell you that your latin pronunciation was funny but quite good!! xD haha
KillerDrummer88 1 year ago
@KillerDrummer88 Nope did not attempt the implant, Are you from the forum? :)
Your English is very good, My latin is very very poor and I'm a catholic lol
Did Not Have any pain or lung constraint my friend that I know of I use to play Rugby Semi Professional maybe so Maybe my stamina could have been better? I dont know as I have always had P.E do you get pain?
43210minus1 1 year ago
@43210minus1 hi, thanks! well, I visited a bit the first forum of PE and stuff displayin after goggle, if it's what you're talking about, but I'm not registered in it.. so your agonistic performance is completely not influenced by your "deformity"? :) good for you! I feel a bit compressed when I try to inhalate more deeply than usual, and I can swear I could fill my lungs more, like I haven't much room for now!! And after basketball(once per month, not often, ok!) my ribs and back hurt a bit..
KillerDrummer88 1 year ago
bro, pectus excavatum is not that bad,
but in my opinion
your tattoo is #1 tattoo of choice for vain douchebags trying
way too hard to look tough and attractive.
well, any type of surgery leaves a scar , is very painful and
complications include wound infections and post-operative pain.
good luck.
lesrambles1 1 year ago
@lesrambles1 Thanks, I'm on a waiting list for the Nuss procedure. Sorry you did not like my tattoo I am really not a vain douchebag, It started out as a little tattoo that went wrong and the artist I saw said he could cover it with a tribal so I went for that.
I like it but everyone to there own. Thanks for the comment :)
43210minus1 1 year ago
@43210minus1

don't get me wrong. I'm not picking on you. I don't think you' re a vain douchebag.

BlackAndWhiteModding 1 year ago
@BlackAndWhiteModding I have been working out for a year now and body building for 6 months and my dent looks very deep because of the muscle growth. You shouldnt be doing heavy lifting at 14 pal, just take it easy heavy lifting whilst your still growing can mess your body up, my friend use to train like crazy when he was 15-16 he was a beast but his back is fucked now from the weights, Good luck with your training, keep me updated on how you get on.

becky, thats crazy. get another opinion. I've had the nuss recently and my ribs were very stiff. See another doctor atleast for a second opinion.
sdowney123 1 year ago
i could've had the nuss but wasnt suitable for it. the doc made me do this test where i held my nose, shut my mouth n blew to try & make my ears pop & he checks to see if your sternum moves & my was too rigid... he said the nuss wouldn't work for me because of this so ravitch is my only choice! nervous about it but im trying to focus on the positives for the future if i go ahead with it. i'll keep you updated! :) its great to know others who have this too! good luck with the nuss!

hey 43210minus1, im a 21 year old from the UK who also has this condition :( which hospital were you referred to? I am nervous about it but think I want to go ahead with it. thanks for the vid, what a great attitude you have about it :D

rienk78 1 year ago
Hey man im probably similar on serverity level with you but that part of my chest section is more caved in rather than just the dent. Could be like that cuz im skinnier than you I work out but like you the muscle doesn't seem to form properly around it. My ex GF is pretty much the only person ive showed and I was happy to have my shirt off around her. She said it wasn't very noticable but I beg to differ! Do you know if corrective exercies help?
xxxratednz 1 year ago
@xxxratednz I don't think corrective exercices work, not at your age, I think they would work if they are done when you are child because the deformed cartilage and the bones are soft and can be fixed.(But anyway try to do your own research) I understand why this dude didn't go for the surgery, the surgery looks brutal, they put a big piece of metal on your chest and you have to keep it there for months.

Does anyone know some information they can share?

mvox55199 2 years ago
Hi. Why are you placing an implant when you can do pectus excavatum? It will raise whole sternum and chest looks even better. I am going to do that this year. It sure is painfull operation but worth of normal chest structure.
bogse 2 years ago
They will not place the bars in me chest because i am 23 in the u.k they say i'm to old :( so i'll get the implant! Your guitar playing is awesome! love the november rain outro!
43210minus1 2 years ago

Fanofgod9 2 years ago
Im about to go through surgery for that, my case is more sever than yours. I wont get an implant, what they will do with me is, they will use the so called Ravitch Technique, where they remove the cartilage and detach the sternum, a titanium is left inside instaed of that and removed after 6 to 12 months. The pain after it is ment to be horrible, but ill live through it. hehe oh yea and for the info im 16 years Old now. Thanks for the vid and Cheers
TheLemonAid 2 years ago

Hey man,
It's very brave from you demonstrate your condition and share experience with others. for me your condition looks pretty mild and am sure you'll take care of it without problems. good luck with it.
P.S. Nice tattoos
