Ok. Not sure how many of you REALLY know this song. It's a bright and festive celebratory number! If you listen closely (or not so closely), the musician is playing in a MINOR key and the youngsters are attempting to sing it in a key that I've never heard before. My recommendation is that the musician be FIRED and the youngsters invest in some music classes and/or vocal classes. My sincere prayers to everyone who had to SUFFER through this.

well first off, the keyboard player is playing the song entirely wrong....so the choir can't sing it correctly, because the melody of the song is incorrect...The musician is playing all the wrong chords, the original song by "joshua's Troop" sounds nothing like those chords... The musician is the one who caused the choir to sound like that...
@damusicgurl I agree but am adding more.....I've seen choirs with awful musicians and "okay" choirs. There is probably no one there to teach them right. In the end, I see that they just COULD NOT SING and the musician was certainly not as skilled as needed to be.

well first off, the keyboard player is playing the song entirely wrong....so the choir can't sing it correctly, because the melody of the song is incorrect...The musician is playing all the wrong chords, the original song by "joshua's Troop" sounds nothing like those chords... The musician is the one who caused the choir to sound like that...

@damusicgurl I agree but am adding more.....I've seen choirs with awful musicians and "okay" choirs. There is probably no one there to teach them right. In the end, I see that they just COULD NOT SING and the musician was certainly not as skilled as needed to be.

They do make a joyful noise. Praise the Lord for that. but what we do is our spiritual act of offering worship. that said we want our offering to be the best we can. that means we do what is necessary to make it as good as we can. lessons, and directors only make the offering better. if its from the heart, God loves it, but shouldnt we want to give Him our very best. Sing on guys and grow in your abilities.
