some very clever stuff in there, but you need to learn how to pace the edits between diferent clips/effects, as there is too much squeezed into a little time here, you dont get enough time to really see anything before it changes into the next section... a shame... looks though it could be quite good.
Free energy technology exists! But the Oil companies want these technologies unknown to the masses,Get a REAL working magnet motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Let the revolution begin!
F'n AMAZING and Humbling... if only I could put some of that artistry to work... why don't you guys create a virtual video editing sandbox with a rendering farm. Each additional video editor, coder, writer's computer could increase the net processing power... ehh ehh.... any takers!
@MagnanimousMichael The point is that although you are watching this as a video, all of this footage is produced at real time. It is not rendered at a slow pace into images, and then played back from the images.
The video here is captured so you don't have to download and run the programs on your computer to watch the demos, and because they are excerpts from various demos. However, you can, and should. If you thought it was humbling, you should watch it on your machine, in fullscreen HD.
@1alopezpr I'll second that! i'm fed with the copyright BS and all the lawsuits against eachother. Why the F* does people have to bee so greedy and angry all the f*ing time...
What's wrong with doing something cauze it's fun and you wanna show people what you can do?
A few of the effects are in fact from a 64KByte intro called : Chaos Theory. The last scene is from Lifeforce by ASD which is a full size demo (if I may use this term). The rest, I don't recognise but take a look at the credits at the end of the video and check them out.
Popular Demo by Farbrausch is around 8 megs... but if you view it you'll know why. Whereas Debris by Farbrausch is a 64kb demo, and you would never know it.
@falconfira Don't think Debris is a 64k demo, it's just a Demo? think the executable is just under 200kb? Altho i will not argue that you would never know it was that small. The graphic content is just as good as a 1.2 GB mpeg files made in 3Ds max for a beginner/semi-good 3D artist. All the love to Farbrausch, Conspiracy, Fairlight and all other!
very nice reel... makes me wish i had a better video card really. FYI a geforce with 32mb on a laptop will only run stuff from 2004, if anyone is curious. The dancing disco guy (courtesy of Farb-Rausch's The Party Demo) is the last thing i could run in real time.

Biggest demoscene party in the US looks like a big green NVidia logo. Lol, I guess the demoscene really is dead.

the demoscene never was big in the US, look at the european parties instead.

It's mostly OpenGL and/or assembler level optimization. Some use mostly C++ now with packers though.

wtf kind of insanity did they use to render that in realtime?
PRODVDi 3 years ago 2
It's magic, isn't it?
katmai539 3 years ago
A 7xxx-series NVIDIA-card will render all of this without problems. You don't even need a very beefy CPU, 2GHz should be more than enough.
