  • bien bien bien

  • I actually think Haskell's voice, no matter what you compare it with on an absolute level, is perfect for this song and album generally. All odd and perfectly fitting.

  • @AlbertSkipRizzo In the last two years I kept listening to the song and I actually realized the same. It fits perfect! Now I need to do another recording of this because also after 2 years I realized how horrible it is!

  • jolly good !

  • right on!...someone who appreciates and feels this piece!...saw them in London in '71 and grew up on this stuff...nice job! and true to the spirit of the song...

  • Pinkys are for playing, too! :)

  • Bello. Sei proprio bravo!

  • Good job!

And since Gordon Haskell sang the song you don't even have to worry about how the vocals sound - so forget about any of the critics on here.

Anyway, I'm sure you learned this song so you can serenade all the young hot chicks who know this song.

  • I agree that Gordon's voice doesn't fit the song at all. That's why I did more of a Boz Burrell version. The quality of my voice depends on the kind of day I have. So I think I could do it much better.

Young hot chicks who listen to prog?? You mean that exists? Please...don't give me false hope hehehe.

  • @Sunchild333 Yes, young women do listen to progressive rock, thank you very much!

  • @cujasmine13 Phone number please =P

  • @Sunchild333 Haha I do not give personal information out on the internet, sorry! Add me on facebook if you really want to talk, haha.

  • @Sunchild333 I think Gordon Haskell's voice makes this song unique.

  • The keyboard sound is a little weak but you NAILED the vocal.

  • Hi Sunchild,

Not sure how you feel about virtual instruments but there are a couple of good VST mellotrons available free online.

    Also: nicely played.

  • Tasty cover . . . It's amazing the sound you've managed to squeeze out of those keys!

I have never seen this song as being sung with a deeper voice. It brings out the power of the piece.

I, for one, would like to hear you record that again on a high-quality level. I think it wd surprise us all - including you! ;-]

  • And Jon Anderson Did also good mysterious notes.

  • I always liked the Lizard album. It had a certain dark insanity to it's sound.

  • this is a powerfull song righ strog to the deepest depression make the melody of really meaning soffering in armony according to this note well interpretation its really nice this is the way to interpretate the meaning of this song a guess in the way you will be who knows anybodys feelins great

  • well nice try ! he has to learn to sing more

in order to get into fripp shoes.

  • maybe into Lake's shoes...But I'm quite sure I already filled Fripp's vocal ones =)

  • Actually, it would be Gordon Haskell's shoes...

    Anyway, I really like it.

And I agree, the acoustic guitar in the original is from another world.

    Thanks.

  • i dont know the real version of the song but that sounds great, im need to check out the original

  • If you like this, you'll get a heart attack with the original =)

By the way...Pay close attention to the acoustic guitar in it. It's got to be one of my favourite guitar works of all.

  • AMEN!!!

Finally I've found someone who shares my opinion about this song. It's something really impressive what Fripp does in this song, made me realize that he's got to be one of the best guitar players ever!

    Nice cover!

  • Ah ah...I'm a girl...according to what boys say, I'm hot...and yes..I listen to King crimson!!:-) (this is one of my favourite songs of them) so never loose hope! ;-) smart girls do exist!

  • Jummm... right...

  • will you go out with me... : )

  • Yes !!!

real greatful play & awesome your voice sunchild333 !!!

i was a fanatic King Crimson fan with Greg Lake as singer after my 15 jear birthday,i played all LP's from In the Wake of Poseidon>Red on drums for me alone, his voice, the mellotron & and this special kind of mystery deepest melancolic helpfull cry music was 4 me my first music world ,to be positiv progressive ,(hope you find a real mellotron )please post more from KC maybe Peace...if you like, thx

  • Thank you very much for your comment!

I can play about 10 more KC songs but I don't like recording covers very much because of two reasons. One is because I don't have a good camera so everything comes out with a poor quality. The second reason is, I become very nervous when recording so I usually mess things up.

But Peace is an easy one, so maybe I'll do it some day soon.

    Cheers!

  • and one more thing if you like progressive rock you absolutely have to hear the band Kingdome Come..and if you like progressive you'll like space rock especialy the band Hawkwind ;)

  • nice to see someeone who likes music similar to mine..bands like Can,Hawkwind,Blue Cheer,Emerson Lake Palmer,Atomic Rooster..I see you'r from slovenia,I'm from croatia..I'll post some Hawkwind bass covers soon

  • Hey! Sorry for the late reply! It's great to know there are more people from Slavic countries who listen to good music instead the likes of Atomik Harmonik and Severina. I'll check your covers out, although Hawkwind are more space rock orientated. I like their Warrior on the edge of time album. I know a bit of Kingdom Come. I used to have their album with Arthur Brown on vocals. Pretty good stuff!

    Keep proggin'!

  • hehe nice nice..i wanna see some more covers from you..now I'm really into Frank Zappa he's the man..a genius..keep rocking man ;D

  • Excelent!!!! Love Cirkus.

  • Tone deaf? LOLOL Robert Fripp was tone deaf!

  • He didn't exactly say that...Just something in that way. He can't be tone deaf and write such music. He had a problem any beginner musician has of course.

  • pretty cool cover, this is one of my fav crimson songs, i always thought lizard was one their best albums, good work my friend

  • I like this :)

awsome, because it 's king crimson :D

I would like to hear from you other KC songs like - epitaph, book of saturday, in the wake of p..., moonchild... :)

  • Pretty dang good, dude :D

I can't play and sing @ the same time to save my live XD

  • Thank you...I'm always worried about my videos because none of them are perfect, either in effects or in sound/video quality. About singing and playing, well...It's something almost nobody can do from the beginning. That's where practice comes in. Unless you're tone deaf that is...

    Keep pn proggin'!
