woah woah woah. UX is not as easy as it looks. Do you know how purple my thighs are from this? It is the most self-harming drill in the NJROTC program, I'll tell you that. I also respect the strength and accuracy that Armed Exhibition requires spinning 10 pound rifles and all, but Unarmed Exhibition takes pretty tough people, too.
This is for pussies....get a riffle and do a quadruple, then we will talk about exhibition.
I respect this unarmed "exhibition" routine but to me looks a lot like a cheerleading, ecstasy, pill popping platoon that just had 22 red bulls. This as much respect as it gets from me. Anyways to many commands for an exhibition event, for that you should have just done unarmed dancing platoon.
@NIKKY610 this is nothing like cheerleading i should know i do NJROTC and i am a cheerleader they are totally different and i would love for my team to be able to learn this routein it is good
I would quit my Drill Team on the spot if I ever saw any of my team doing anything like this. My unit is NJROTC and I am fairly embarrassed to watch this. None of those initial facing movements are any thing at all like I have seen other units do, including actual military.
Will you guys give the time to check out my unarmed exhibition team please? It would mean a lot to Kempner AFJROTC if we could have some of your tips or your opinions about our unarmed exhibition drill team performance. and if you guys can, please tell everyone else about our video and comment.
wow im a freshman at gallatin high school we just got a njrotc unit last year im enjoying it but i just joined the exhibition team and this is just wow weve got a competion soon but i dont think well even place none of our team memebers will show up it sucks sigh i hope it goes well
You guys are interesting. I don't really care for all the foot work but it's still pretty cool. My unarmed team does alot more marching and spreading out, but you guys are not bad :) kudos
wow i don't know but to me this is not what it is supposed to be at all. im the unarmed ex commander at my school and got 2nd at area 9 champs against shawnee mission north. but what i mean is that there are to many commands being called the very art of exhibition drill should be memory maybe even having the only command you call be fallout/dismiss afterwards if you ask me
I go to Clark High School and i gotta say you guys are good! i loved the routine, but it was new to me, seeing more arms and a little less feet. But you guys are good :D
y'all are sharp and clean, but partially commanding the platoon just takes away form the momentum. if you keep moving at the up pace tempo you have, it'll be alot more interesting.
my team is heading to the navy nationals this year and were looking to give people a rude awakening. :)
i have to admit you guys are clean and sharp.. but maybe it's just we do it differently here in vegas but there's a whole lot of hand movements and no foot work at all. in my opinion, compared to our exhibition, it holds no interest for me. but you've got a lot neat tricks and things to look for, that's a plus.
If any body is the the OrangeCOunty area and can help teach this stuf, my unit in alll its 20 years never learned how and our ew COlonel wants us to do it, please help :D
omg i hate this school... they beat us at regulation at Titan! I think they main reason is that this school is EXTREMELY coordinated, but their routine isnt as good, it's coordinated but because there's so many complicated movements it looks like you're slapping each other XD (i like the circle thing at the end tho, and dont worry, we wont steal it XD)
My school is No.1 in the Southern region of the United States. We are an MCJROTC unit for Catholic High School, Little Rock and never in our existence have we clapped or danced in our performances. We have won three national championships in drill and physical fitness. Our Sergeant Major would backhand us if we even mentioned a dance routine.
Freaking awesome. I'm the LHHS Armed Ex commander this year; would you happen to know what the girls placed in this event? From the looks of it, I don't think it was first, but fingers crossed :D
I don't remember how they finished. They didn't get a trophy for this one. They did place first in the Unarmed Basic. They took a ton of trophies, including overall first in athletics. We were all quite surprised when they ended up fifth overall for the Nationals. They had many more trophies than any of the other schools.
I'll see if I can get the armed ex up from that year.
Doesn't it say on the score sheet "No cheerleading" ?

Even though I watched this in person, I'm still amazed what our school did.

unarmed exhibition is stupid. It has almost no ties to the military and is prettymuch really bad chearleading.
on a slightly less negative note, that was pretty a good routine or whatever you call it.
