Thanks for sharing. I did not know about DC and NYPD Blue until after discovering him as Lt. Horatio Caine in CSI: MIAMI, but I bought the S1 & S2 NYPD BLUE DVDs and he is great as Det. John Kelly as well.
I loved David Caruso on NYPD Blue. The show was not the same without him. Of course it continued to be successful with the addition of Jimmy Smitts and Rick Schroeder who are both OK, and Dennis Franz was always good. But as far as I'm concerned David Caruso made the first season of NYPD Blue the best season of NYPD Blue.
David Caruso-Very good actor but also a diva & that's what caused him to leave NYPD Blue after 1 season & 2 episodes -Wanted more $, & time 2 do movies while working w/ Blue! So, Dennis Franz had a steady job for 12 seasons on Blue & David Caruso had to set at home mellow in his own mistakes! Has he rebounded? Yes but it took him almost 12 yrs to do- That's why when you get on a show that becomes as big as Blue did in it's 1st season & let ur ego get ahead of what U hafta do -provide 4 ur fam!
@danimal9579 .....yeah i remember that (he was one of the "nice" cops) also before that he had small ipart in "An Officer and a Gentleman" as a cadet who flunks out (pretty dramatically) of training
