IF ANYONES WONDERING ABOUT THE BLACK/BLUE SCREEN YOU GET WHEN STARTING THE NEW GAME, GO TO OPTIONS/VIDEO and scrolls down to the lowest option, (can't remember the name of it), but press that thing one time, so it says something like anti... something x2... Now restart the game and youre all set!1!!

@Muzzbugman You Have To Have A Torrent Downloader Like: Utorrent, Bitorrent, and Limewire. Then just drag the torrent into the torrent downloader. Then when it finishes, right click on the download, "show in finder" and open it.

hey man everything worked fine but, i finished the whole main story line but when i get to the island where you start shivering isles all there is, is just big yellow boxes with exclamation marks on them and no island or door? any help also how do i start the nine divine quest i dont thing its working or something any help?

@GameMug you get the shivering isles and the nights of the nine game add ons, now the shivering isles is really big for a dlc so its worth while

then go to video options and in the lower part there should be an anti-slashing option put it ON it will give you a mesagge about not seeing th grafics of the game just ignore it an save the changes.

Then you get out of the game enter again and you should be able to play it normaly.

Well for the one with the problem with the torrents just downloade vuze its mi personal favourite for downloding torrents just google vuze the first page its qhere you downlode it its free then you go to finder seect the torrent the you rigth clik it and you should get the open with option just select vuze and your downlode should start in seconds

ok so when i get it everything is fine until the game actually starts i can see the compass and map mouse ext but not the game. i think the video card is fine since the menu works and when i get on it i can see my character perfectly.

I had the same problem, if you turn the anti-aliasing UP you will then get the images. It gives you a warning about not being able to see the HUD if you turn anti-aliasing on but you can.

The anti-aliasing control is right at the bottom of the video options screen.

@LadiesXMan217 It's where you start a new game and where your character should be; everything is black except for the compass and menus ect... It seems like there are a lot of people with this problem and it looks like it could be a fault with the meshes or textures?

@hendrikmarine dude I dont know if you still care but I had the same problem and i played with the anti-aliasing feature, and set screen resolution to the maximum (+widescreen)

works like a charm.

@HECRAPAN001 Ok... start the game, go into the main menu and click options... Go to graphics turn down specular dist to about 1/4 of the bar.

Then go to anti-aliasing and turn it to x16. you will get a warning hdr is not supported or something like that and click ok..

now restart oblivion and play...

It worked for me so tell me if it doesn't!

@ddog4572 10.6.4 is out, why don't you update, im on 6.3( gonna update in the next 48 hours ). as long as its snow leopard i believe it will work fine ( it must ) it only depends on your processor and ram. Mine runs usually slow( when in combat), usually smooth

Is that an iMac alu 20" of 2007? I have the same but Oblivion sometimes crashes during battles or when there are a lot of polygons on screen at the same time. Does your oblivion version work better than mine or it has the same problems?

@passionburn No only Intel-based Macs ;) it's a pity for our beloved eMacs and even if it was an Intel Mac the requirements would be too low for playing Oblivion

No Problem. Thanks. I doesn't run very smooth on mine macbook because it isn't perfect but playable sometime it will run good sometimes not. There is a problem i have though ( Im not sure if your going to have it ) but the thing is that the normal Oblivion is ok, but it seems that the knights of the nine and GOTY expansions aren't in there. Like for example when some object is missing it shows it as yellow square with an exclamation point, on mine its the Niben Bay ( Door to Shivering Isles )

@anduril9969 its a cider of a pc game, if you know what that means, you can play pc games on mac without using crossover or bootcamp.
