It was from Enrique's album last year and was supposed to be his second single but his label wouldn't let him release it and forced him to release a song he didn't want.

Enrique thought it would be a hit given the chance and so when the Step Up 2 folk wanted to put it on the soundtrack he said yes. They came up with the concept of the video and put the actors in it to promote the film.

That was before the video was banned and didn't bother releasing it as a single. The Step Up people used him.

Enrique went out to promote the soundtrack by performing the song on tv shows the week the cd was released. It was never mentioned on any of these shows that the song was already on his album. It was all about Step Up 2.

MTV offered to re-edit the video but didn't take up the offer and they didn't release it as a single either. So they at least got some promotion out of it but the singer doesn't get the hit he wanted.
