Hey this is a cool fact. Dustin Turley the alma mater soloist in this video is from my hometown. Trumpet legend if you can say that. Anyways just thought I would throw that out. Going to be in the pride coming up this year.
And in response to Ibanez3789 I don't really give a shit if you were in corps or not. Go comment on your own damn videos.

Excuse me, but as a former member of a drum corps, I do not find this to be difficult drill at all. To the people who say that this is the "hardest drill in marching band," march Cavaliers. Then talk.
No college band practices for 6 weeks straight, 12 hours a day, every day, in the blazing heat of the summer. Also, The musicality of this bunch is not impressive at all... there is a trumpet that sticks out (yes, one trumpet that I can hear) pretty much the entire time. By the way, I only heard Rocky Top about 2 times during the Alabama game this year... Roll Tide
If You go to the show when they perform this drill, or get the full version of the video, the announcer says "One of the most daring and difficult drills ever performed by a COLLEGE marching band" no one has mentioned anything about a drum corp.
ive seen both drum corps, and college bands... i dunno which is harder but im sure that with like 3oo+ people on the field this show could be pretty hard. and who are you to put the pride down?? i doubt ut fans are going to dci videos and leaving rude comments. dci is great...so is the pride.
Finally a half-time. Super circles into pattern diagonals. When my daughter was in, they did small circle/square shifts to the 1812 Overture. The first circle drills were 1960's at UT done on computer (think computer cards) We did 7-8 shows because tv broadcasts showed the halftime. This is so great. You guys are terrific (K30)
amazing. hopefully i can transfer there next year. if your a music major and go to UT you should make friends with me so I can talk to you! Also, were are the tubas in that thing? i bet thats FUN with a sousaphone lol.
what's truly remarkable is that this band keeps the biggest stadium in the SEC totally full during halftime. Even the visiting fans stay and watch this band. I think that's incredible. I've never seen a stadium that full for any other SEC band, and I've seen all of them.
God I'm gonna sound like an old fart here, but we did harder shows when I was in the Pride (1988-91). I'll see if I can find my old copies of Show Tunes 88 or Country Hits medley 89.
Don't get me wrong, I think "The Tennessee Circle Drill" is a great show. Unfortunately, it's a set piece show that doesn't change now, like pregame. In my day, we did at LEAST two shows of this caliber a year.
As far as I know, they only did the circle drill for three games last year including the Outback Bowl. They did a different show something along the lines of every two games.
I'm some where with a huge tuba some where in that big mess. In the big circle, I'm just to the left of the 40-> yard line. I love marching this show!!! It's the best show in college.
wonder how long it took to learn this.

The band does a different show for every home game, but does circle drill and one of our first shows for all away games.
