  • dont u see the solution. as long the same ingredients are there, the soup is unchanged. for 50 years.

i paid for my own higher education, when i seek out scholarship, what i see is none other racial favored sorts. it is delicately fixed, if u complaint this, people will say, u nvr try... k.... right..... what a stagnated ruling scheme.

  • I LOVE the reporter she's so unfazed by her interviewees and dares to cut across them

  • The NEP should be adjusted to help all the truly needy. It should not be race based. If so, then the rich and politically connected Bumiputeras will exploit this opportunity, as seen in Malaysia where they make use of the 5% discount on housing to.. and get awarded with tenders easily. Meanwhile, the poorer Bumiputeras, namely the small scale farmers, fishermen, and indigenous people who do not fit modernized economy into will be left out cold. 81% of the Orang Aslis are below the poverty line!

  • malaysians Kick these Hindus out of your country ...look how muslims are treated in India even thou they actually belong there ...unlike these indians in malaysia who are immigrants!!!

Gujrat thousands of muslim killed ...by hindu extremists

everyday communal violence by hindu Bjp inspired kill and rape women and children

the chinese killand toture Uighurs every single day ...xinjiang was not part of China and was forcefully integrated... while the chinese in malay are immigrants lol!

    peace

  • the third guy is just full of shit, "there is no way to help all the groups". All the "groups?". Why is he trying to imply that there needs to be a distinction?

there needs to be a policy that helps 1 group, the Malaysians. Not multiple policies that apply for different races, there has to be 1 standard for all malaysians, instead of 1 for the malays and another for the indians and chinese.

  • @yak6ex and you must be an idiot

  • Malaysians we must help the poor regardless of race.

  • son of the soil mean when you are born in that soil you belong there

that includes chinese indians and malays

    so if malays think you

  • DAP needs to get more charismastic ppl into ur ranks.

ur spokes person showed absolutely no charisma, thats the least a politician should have

  • hehehe..... Al_jazeera has totally made a fool of them Malays...... by getting a Malay lady host... whose wearing tight clothes....

  • she's kinda hot

  • ya...SRIOUSLY.... i really wanna do that woman...

  • This so called Affirmative Action NEP program is nothing more than official race based institutionalized discrimination favoring the majority who control politics against the minority.

  • malaysia belong to orang asli, not you malay.

  • Orang Asli.. wont call the nation, Malaysia...they call it perhaps... something else... or did they?...

  • Indians and Chinese should leave that country so those disgusting subhumans can eat themselves.

  • would someone pls give me the address of this woman. How n where?? I wish to visit her n help her.

  • Comment removed

  • DAP has Penang,if the prob with NEP is the implementation,so they can reassess and implement in their own way. They can avoid corruption cuz they are the government..So,whaddup buddy?

  • we all are malaysian that is not base on who is malay, chinese or indian as all of us born in this country, and love this country. Help those poor regardless of races.

  • As long as NEP is concern, it has always been race based and preferential treatment, there is always a downside on the other side of the coin. Why are these people talking about race again and again? There is only 1 nationality and that is MALAYSIAN. Divide and rule NO MORE! Period.

  • fuck malaysian babe

  • what the fuck for the NEP, chinese and indian has been marginalised for many year in economy, politics and social, NEP is a corruption for BN

  • Why UMNO so scare of the new policies impementation?

is it no chance for them to take part in the corruption anymore?

  • Every single person who was born in Malaysia is "BUMIPUTRA". So, there is no whatsoever differences among "Bumiputra" and "Non-bumiputra". If this is a logical sense, then every Malaysian should be treated equally and fairly despite our enthic backgrounds: Malays, Indians and Chinese. All the citizens should have equal right to the wealth of the country. Additianally, a purely democracy country should provided citizens freedom of speech and media.

  • Stupid Umno guys still want NEP. loser!!!!!

  • Umno has divided the unity of citizens by classifying them as bumis or non bumis.

Meannwhile umnoputras grab all the opportunities ( even PM Pak Lah is helping to clean out Treasury-his son & son in law khairy have become millionaires many times over !) Meanwhile they point to poor immigrants & say 'look malays are poor & need NEP' The NEP is a tool to enrich Umnoputras !

  • Well the stark contrast between the two people interviewed the Malay and the India. The Malay despite being poor he has a decent living, a farm, and a couple of cows. Compare that to the Indian lady who has practically nothing.

Years of brainwashing has made the Malay chap come out with comments like 'all the other races are richer than the Malays' which in reality is not true. Every community in Malaysia has the poor so rather than a policy benefiting the poor of a race why not for all.

  • NEP was set up to eradicate poverty especially of Malays. Ibrahim talks cock. NEP introduced in 1969/70 and if the policy has failed after 40 years, the BN Govt have FAILED THE CITIZENS and the cause is clear. NEP was hijacked and has been used to enrich UMNO (and other component BN parties) leaders and their cronies while leaving the poor to fend for themselves. BN cannot hope to explain away the fact that the BN leaders and cronies are filthy rich . BN is a complete failure

  • What kind of unity we have? We never think about helping each other to show this unity to the world. Chinese help Malays, Malays help Indian, Indians help Chinese, Chinese help Indian, Indian helps Malays and Malay helps Chinese.. whatever it is.. But the Malays are so arrogant and with a big pride. Malays, don't be afraid, we will help u.. Malaysia for Malaysians... and no 1st class or 2nd class citizenship. let us reform or perhaps end NEP!!

  • Malays are afraid to become irrelevant and poor in their own indigenous lands. This fear is understandable and attributing it entirely to arrogance is misguided. History is judge to the fate of indigenous people when there is a wealthier migrant society -- Native Americans and Australian aboriginals are forever sidelined to living in slums, blacks in South Africa now are the poorest, least educated, likeliest to contact AIDS and etc.

  • The fact that 'reformists' cite US, Australia and other Western countries as examples how Malaysia should be further fears the Malays. How can countries that mass murder their indigenous people be examples? Malaysia being unique needs a unique solution.

  • The NEP has two components, addressing poverty and giving opportunities. There is no question that the people like the Indian lady should receive government aid immediately. Eradication of poverty should not be racial based. However, business sector are filled with racial barriers. NonMalay suppliers giving unfavorable prices to Malays, Chinese putting up "only Mandarin speaking applicants need bother" and other racial based barriers. These barriers have existed for a long2 time.

  • ... and the NEP-business-component addressed that by giving preferential treatment. It worked for many but also unfortunately breed the Umnoputra problem. IMO the two best solutions are; EITHER fine-tuning the NEP-biz-component but still retaining preference for Bumis and helping those non Bumis not part of the racial business network. OR the other choice is a serious crackdown on racial barriers in businesses and then giving government help equally to all who is in need for opportunities.

  • Im M'sian Chinese and a victim of the NEP since it first started in the 70s.

I lost my father at the age of twelve and have to fight for my own survival without the help of any policy.... NEP and what so ever. A leson which I have learnt from my own life's struggle is this:When times are tough, the toughs get going.

  • Im very frigging confused n it makes no sense, how on earth d new elected CM of Penang Lim Guan Eng who used to fight for malay-muslim rights can betray them now. Apparently, Malaysians r still unaware (tidur) that this is a punishment from God by keeping their mouth shut last time of what caused Guan Eng a year in jail to now in CM chair. Its shown n proven by a passage from Holy Koran: "God loves to those who act justly to others," (Koran, 60:8).

  • Thanks Allah, NO more racial to racial, racist policies n discrimination in Penang. The basic needs go to d poor without distinction of their race. Therefore, I hope with this NO New Economic Policy, d interests n d rights of d crying poor n needy Malays, Chinese, Indians n others will be protected. God Bless!!!!

  • The Indian woman said it best. Help should be given to anyone who needs it.

  • Racist indeed

  • a policy does not decide ones to be rich or poor. Chinese have successfully dominate business elsewhere because of their right attitude. We(read Malays) on the other hand, tend to blame 'something' whenever we fail. Our leaders said NEP was mend for Malays, but from economic point of view it seem like Chinese benefit the most. Should we still blame Chinese and any Indian for that matter?

  • What a racist country ...!!

  • this is a country that claims "truly asia" the ideal muslim country. fucking racist!

  • Injustice......injustice......injustice.....Just say that they don't wanna share. Is there not enough for everyone?
