Lars used to be my favorite drummer. Now I can see why everyone bitches about his playing. Not only has he not progressed past Justice for All but he has actualy regressed. I can't stand to listen to this fucker play now. He ruins his own songs.

Even though I have always known there are lots of better drummers than Lars, he's been my favourite for a long time and was actually the one who made me start playing the drums. I've been playing since I was 10, I'm 22 now. I was on the Stockholm show the same week, and boy, did Lars suck. Incredibly bad, and James's voice is also F-ed up.

But check out the 2009 Nimes show, they all seem to have learned their instruments anew! Lars too!

Nailing that double bass in Blackened is something he wouldn't have been able to do on this 2007 show, I tell you that ;) Let's just hope he stays sharp and does not regress as much as on this video clip. It's incredible that he's not even able to play the SNARE intro without unsyncing and missing notes. The intro of Am I Evil is not harder than the first lesson in drumming school! :o
