Dave Matthews Talks Briefly About Giants Stadium and Two Step on 6/11/01

I remember I went to all three shows that week.We sat in the nose bleeds directly across from the stage. When two step came to the creshendo the skies opened up and the stadium was thunderous and erupted with a torrent of heavy rain and hail. The band feeling the crowd swell in fiery passion began to drive the music more heavily feeding into our passion. As if the rain and the crazy ferocity of the crowdwere not enough the thunder came to be in sync with the drums. Best concert moment in mylife.

I remember after the encore , walking off the floor .. soaked... and one of the "event" guys asked me "what was the name of that song - and does he always beckon rain during it?

That was the most phenomenal DMB concert I had ever been too!!! It was pandemonium! I'll never forget the feeling of driving home in soaking wet clothes...nothing feels quite like wet denim HAHA

This was 10 years ago, today... and the forecast tonight calls for thunderstorms, how appropriate. What a memory! Damn, I was 19, going on 20 then. Time flies.

I was at this show too! It was f'n fantastic. The storm, crowd, band, energy was amazing. It looked like a wall of water in front of the stage that was there on purpose. It was so powerful and great energy. I still can't believe how amazing it was.

I was at 2 of the 3 shows during that stop over at Giant Stadium, including this one. That was the single most amazing concert experience ever. I wish there was a video of that performance somewhere posted on youtube.
