@Ashton337 I'm sooo sorry. I had a link for a tutorial in the description but one time I completely retyped all of the descriptions and I guess I removed the link. Umm, maybe I'll make a separate tutorial for it later but it's not too difficult. Just slowly rotate your hand and the packet should naturally flip around your thumb. After that, just practice the timing and placement of the catch. It's not at all difficult.
@jackvaxx2100 I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, but it's not mine to teach. But I learned from viewing full-speed performances so it shouldn't be too difficult to just rewatch my slow performance of it.
@libertus7 It depends on the flourish. High quality cards are typically smoother and are a bit more slippery, making it easier to do fans and cuts that require sliding cards off of packets, etc. Flourishes that don't need the slippery aspect of good cards won't be affected too much by low quality cards, but it's good to have at least one good deck that you can rely on to do all types of flourishes.
hey ayrus, remember, if it was easy shit like cards falling all over the place wouldnt happen.personally i prefer to see cards falling all over the place on a video so people can see this art isnt so easy to do. thank you so much for this tutorial. this flourish has a sick looking flare
@J0hnn3hBoi Tally Ho. Paper with a linoid finish, I think. Online. New and used decks will be available on my website when the shop opens (estimate $5 plus shipping and handling).
Strain has never been a factor for me, I have never had any problem as far as my fingers hurting or not being able to do a certain grip my problem is, even if I'm deliberatly trying to hold the cards tight during the cut/flourish, sometimes they still tend to slip through my fingers, and one more question or example, like in tectonic verb from the trilogy, its a very easy cut but at the part where u pivot a third packetfrom the two packets, I can hardly ever get a good squared packet, ideas?
Hey man I want your honest opinion, idk if u have or have seen the trilogy or not, but I was wondering if those exercises work, another thing is, I was wondering if u could give me some tips for flourishes, like how to build speed and how to hold on to the cards, in almost every flourish I do there are still times cards slip out between my fingers, how do I fix this?
I don't do the exercises on the Trilogy and don't know anyone that does, but they would help in getting your fingers accustomed to strain.
The strain is what will help you be able to grip cards better. There are more and more cuts nowadays that, in an effort to be more creative, result in twisting the fingers into uncomfortable positions (Leno Cut by Dan and Dave). The only way to get used to this is by practice (and maybe the exercises).
Someone's being ridiculous and marking down all of the comments. Rest assured, if I find out who you are, you will be prevented access from my videos.
mm hey did you buy any dvd or something to learn cardistry cause i want to learn but i dont know if its good to buy genesis by andre jikh mm please tell me with what did you start please
Define learn. Learn as in the concept of cardistry or learn someone's flourishes? The only cardistry DVD I've ever had possession of was the Trilogy. It's good, but I wouldn't recommend it to beginners. Someone trying to learn cardistry shouldn't buy a DVD unless they can learn at the pace of online tutorials, such as those of Kevin Ho and "baconsizzler". They have good flourishes, but they teach them very quickly. Many DVDs teach at the same pace. Only buy them if you're intermediate or so.
so what did you recomend me i mean what florishes to learn to start cause i know how to do only 3 haha i know its no much but im just starting so can you tell me wich flourishes to learn please thanks you are the best :)
All of my cuts are sloppy. I could care less about presentation, I just wanna spread word of cardistry and get people into it. As long as my tutorials are good enough to understand, I could care less. Maybe some day I'll put a performance video up...
you did not explain how to do the fan flip..... in the cystem cut

This might be a stupid question, but what's the name of the cut you do after most tutorials? At 8:43, for example?
cwaj400 5 months ago
@cwaj400 The swing cut (in my case, three of them).

Before anything, make sure you know the fundamental moves.
Revolution Cut
Charlier Cut
Swing Cut
Swivel Cut
Pivot Cut
etc.
Then you can string them together into moves like the Helix Cut, Sybil variations, one-handed cuts, etc.
I would recommend practicing cuts by cardshark88 and TheCuso.

thanks dude i just know 2 of all the ones that you put in here o and the sybil by itself thank dude
