Nice video! I just got a ex-f1 a couple weeks ago and I'm like a kid in a free candy store!!! I want to see everything in slow motion so check my videos out! I do dislike the fact that the res. goes down in the HS settings and you need to explode the video to a point that it's distorted but other then that I shoot most things @300fps to keep the best quality possible...

That's very cool. The only problem = when it shoots at that speed it not HD anymore because the image goes down to 336 x 96 pixels (regular 1080HD = 1440x1080 pixels) so it crops down to an image half smaller than a DV camera ! (DV NTSC = 720x480 pixels.) - That's too bad, because these images are awesome !! Thanks for the video!

The Ex-F1 is not an SLR. It merely looks and has a digital function ring that can give a near analog feel for adjusting zoom and focus manually. There is no revolving mirror within this camera. Just a shudder and super high speed CMOS sensor.

Im not sure how good the internal micrphone is but it has a microphone jack so i presume it does record audio

The internal mic isn't all that great, but with the jack, the microphone you choose makes all the difference. There is no audio recorded during highspeed videos.

This camera does not do 1080 at 1200fps, that would be rediclious. The 1200fps setting is pretty much a novelty more than anything else, since you need a ton of light, and it records at an all too wide 336x96. Resolution is lower the faster the frame rate you choose.

The thing that isn't to good about this though(although I'm really surprised by this beautiful movie as well), is that the quality of the slomotion videos is really bad. It's good to do for fun, or to upload onto personal websites like youtube etc, but thats it. It's an extra gadget, not the main gadget unfortunately. Wish it was in HD quality, like the normal videos.

Thing is though,IF you don't have a blueray player, (or PS 3), the quality of the HD videos is only 80% of what can be accieved.

gonna wait a few years/months before buying a camera with high-fps, then it's probably a bit better then now.

the casio will play good HD video back, through a HD TV, directly pugged in. The high speed video is much better quality than is apparent here on "you-tube", a lot of detail is lost in the compression on upload to you tube.

I agree, and so many factors go into creating a decent looking HS video with a F1, good lighting, luck, etc. I've posted both stunning and lackluster HS vids with mine. I love mine.

It shoots fast speed in a horrible resolution. But in normal it's 1080p.

It shoots 300fps at 512X384 pixels, 600fps at 432X192 pixels, and 1200fps at 336X96 pixels. In addition to the high speeds, it shoots 1080i and 720p High definition as well as the basic SD video.

This camera is amazing, ive been trying to get full-res videos of 300 fps but even with YouTube's compression, it still looks pretty dang good. For $1,000 I would get it for the slow-mo alone, I can still use my Rebel XT for photos.
