because they need some normal space marines... if they took a particular chapter like for example the space wolves, it would have been a problem to explain their "quirk" like the wulgren to people who never played anything from wh40k, so they took the ultrasmurfs

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. Most of the movie scenes in games with space marines shows them getting cut down right and left and usually leaves only a few left standing not to say they aren't awesome its just something I noticed.

@SoldierJ1986 That's because in Tabletop and Video Games there aren't very many Chapters who come close to matching the overpoweredness of the Fluff Marines. In tabletop play, Space Wolves and Grey Knights are about the only Space Marines who come close to matching their counterparts in the fluff.

In the books, it takes a lot to kill a space marine, same with in dawn of war gameplay, but in the movie scenes marines die like nothing, which wouldn't be the case really. I mean, if the opening scene in dawn of war was realistic, and twenty blood ravens and a dreadnought died just to take a hill, the space marines would be in trouble. That's a fifth of an entire company in one engagement destroyed.
