that whole video is a complete LIE! social security has not one thing to do with human rights!! a corrupt gov program is a poor replacement for the moral obligation to help others in need or to support yourself. where do people come up with this nonsense. people lose human rights because we are reduced to a serial # when it comes to social security. stop buying all the BS from the media and our welfare programs
I don't know about the tax in the US but perhaps that should be looked at. In order to ensure the people get what they need "when they truly need it".
The abridged version of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:
22. The right to social security. We all have the right to affordable housing, medicine, education, and child care, enough money to live on and medical help if we are ill or old.
And that surely must be a good thing ans something for all nations to strive for.
You're English and already have socialized health care (i.e Social Security if you will) paid for by British tax dollars. I'm American. And while not taxed quite as heavily as you, I don't get government health care; nor can I afford private insurance either. I'm not complaining though. It's not government's job to take care of me. It's mine and God's. And so far we both have managed to pay my medical bills the few times I have needed a doctor. And that's the way it should be !
thanks for posting:)
