I have just purchased one of these in Melbourne. The fan is a bit slow. Can you give me any more information on these, where i can get it serviced and value? It gets lots of cmments - John
Sorry Clarks for the delay , I did start but had too many caharacters , Good to see to grabbed one, I dont know much about them nor value . They are easy to fix, if your mechanical minded . just remember to mark your pieces , as they wont go back properly . The motor for memory just splits into two , check your brushes and regrease Cheers Pete
That is a nice Stromberg Carlson fan. I have not seen any around my area.I dont think they are to common. I use Inox oil for electric motors to lubricate my vintage & retro fans. 5***** for a great video!.
Hi Cool, Yes, it was a interesting purchase at the time , the wood work, "shellac: had crazed , Overall looked tired. I saw the potential, but also at the time , thought , ice or water was filled in the dome , Hencre a air conditioner for its time. Glad you enjoyed the video...... Cheers Pete
I had no idea SC made fans. When the video started I assumed it was a speaker; Zenith made speakers that looked like that when I was a kid.
