  • I was only two at the time, so I didn't know much about anything. Except that it was a brilliant time, the very best of times. :D

  • Great pictures of the hippy period. Ah memories.

  • OMG Someone make me a time machine <3

  • @NicksandSlick Some of that "good 60s music" you refer to was provided by John Carter and Ken Lewis. Just because it was very successful doesn't mean it's "crap". Dissing John Philips too. Seriously? You sound like a music snob.

  • Wow!...Thanks for this gr8 song...It took me straight back to the time when I left school beautiful happy carefree days! when Love was in the air :)

  • I remember listening to this track when i was a kid when my uncle used to take us to barry island in the summer, great memories : )

  • Pop-tart Psychedelia, an insult to good 60s music and probably reponsible for wrecking the San Francisco scene along with Scott Mackenzie and John Philips. A sameful piece of crap.

  • Hippy beads and bells; flowers in your hair; love and peace. Was it all really so important to people back then?

  • @cricketbat08 I doubt it. But, it is a wonderful philosophy. :)

  • I was 20 years old and was going to change the world. Now I am a pensioner and realise that the world changed me.

  • ...And you will see how time and space can´t separate you from nothing.

  • Open your own mental vortex

  • I just booked a holiday to San Francisco, LA and Vegas for next summer. Gonna play this the day I hop on the plane towards SF! :)

  • I wonder were all the people are now.

  • @happpeee I'm here ! I was 15 then. Happy flowery memories. :)

  • I was 14 when this music was about still brings a smile to my face when I hear it true the 60s will never die

  • Tripping.........

  • this was THE best years for music the swinging sixties as todays music is manufactured and total rubbish. Can you see some of todays music being done in 40 years time....think not but 60's music will never die

  • To all those that say "If you can remember the 60's you weren't there" "BULLSHIT". The 60's was the most incredible decade in history, and those that WERE there, will never forget it, thanks to music like this. THANKS Trichoone :)

  • @bassjocky

You`re so right. I was there, in Swinging London in the 60`s, and I do remember it like it was yesterday, well most of it anyway. The trouble is these days, in my 60`s I can`t remember what happened yesterday.

  • Lets eat a shit load of acid and walk barefoot on haight street

  • let s make the summer of 67 reborn today!!

  • Thanks so much for posting this longer version, which I'd never heard before - knew there was some organ at the end, but didn't realise it went on for another psychedelic three minutes! Classic track - and great video too!

  • 1967 and the summer of love. Radio Caroline beaming this out across the waves to us happy land lubbers. Thank God for memories. What an amazing time to be a teenager, Oh the fun! It all went to fast.

  • the nearest i got to san francisco was newquay cornwall all working in hotels to stay for the summer of 67 those were the days but thats a different song thanks a lot

  • So miss hem days ,,wish young and old would unite again for a cause or a reason ..when music was a movement

  • Only 3 and a half years old in summer 1967 therefore remember the feeling better than any stoned hippy. From a child's natural high perspective, I do remember something special and kind of spiritual about that time.

  • nearly 50000 views and no dislikes. says it all realy.

  • This takes me right back to the 60's. probably more than any song of the era. How young I was and oh what hope. Ah well I have my memories.

  • I was 15 when this came out ( along with Scott McKenzie of a different San Fran cisco ) I so wanted to go live there hehehe . Just fantastic music from that era it's incredible, and wandering down memory lane WOW. I have some very crackly versions on 45's of both songs and play them often.

  • That`s the first time I`ve heard side 2 for about 40 years. Well done.

John carter was involved in some great music...Check out his Measure for Measure CD covering his work from 61-76.
