@71240z It's a Grover Emergency Horn. They are also known as Stuttertones or by the numbers 1510 and 1512. I think the only difference in the numbers are the size of the horn

I've build a similair one on my Ram, from airhornsoftexas, comes as an complete kit. takes about half a day to build it in. Super sound!!! especialy in Europe where most trucks yust have fabric standard horns!.... nice truck by the way!!

The only thing electric on these types of air horns are the air compressor and the solenoid that opens the air to the hose to sound the horn. There not terribly hard to install and can be wired into the factory horn switch if you'd like. You cant go wrong with Grover's there the best as you can hear in the video lol. You can pick up a horn, air tank, and compressor for around $320

I know if someone uses flashing lights and sirens on there own personal car or truck without a permit its illegal, if they have a permit and they are not using it for an emergency its illegal.

To answer some earlier questions: I believe the system is running at 120psi. It's a ViAir 1.5gal tank setup. We mounted the horn towards the front of the truck along the outside of the frame rail (approx under the passenger side door). The tank we mounted rearward, but also to the frame. Got lucky and able to utilize some pre-existing frame holes thus only had to drill a couple more. Routing the wiring up into the cab for a dash mounted horn button took most of the time.

nhfdcadet: Don't be a hater, that sound is the real deal. Air Horns of Texas, Fire Engine Horn - Single trumpet. That was Mike pulling out of my driveway right after the install. The successful install of that kit convinced me to put an airhorn kit in my truck. I'll upload a vid of the Nathan P3 setup I put in my truck soon. The Nathan P3 is a more complex install due to the weight and size of the trumpets (3) and larger air volume required. Very rewarding project.
