@starbuck680 Yeah, I know what you mean. Vincents look like their going fast even when they're standing still. And they have one on the most beautiful engines ever built.
2000 hours in the build? that's 50 40hr. work weeks. what does he do, work for 10 mins then take a break for an hour or 2? 2 weeks to paint it one solid ugly color? doesn't even have a damn pin stripe on it. wtf? what's so special about this bike? nothing that I can see. the kestrel? should call it the tortoise after the one who built it. or should I call him the artist? yeah right
I'm just grateful that there are still people out there who can do this kind of resto/engineering. Some things take me back to my first motorcycle memory - a Norton Atlas blasting past my family when I was 7. Clips like this bring back that old time feeling. I love my Triumph Thruxton, but these are just something else!
Its not "unpatriotic"to have a union jack upside down, its an international distress signal! All bikes are rolling art, some are better than others,I like these..Althoguh I'm a jap fan meself.

@JeroenLondon: I saw a Norton Commando Interstate III almost 30 years ago, I ain't been the same since. It was black, with gold pin-striping. It was the most beautiful thing on two wheels I'd ever seen. I respect your opinion, brother. And, "Gelukkig NieuwJaar!"
A bike is a bike. If a bike is 'art' then it's not a bike. A bike can be beautiful (just as beautiful as ' art'). A bike is a utilitarian object... it has a fuction (it is a means of transport). I would argue that when the function has become secondary to the aesthetic something essential has been lost. It would be sad to see bikes just become another excuse for conspicuous consumption. Buy an old bike. Get it on the road...and RIDE!
@gyoza007 I agree that when a bike's only point of existence is easthetics, sometjing is not right. But i think a motorcycle can definitely be a utilitarian object while at the same time a piece of art. In my opinion, anything creating a stir of my emotions is art, so motorcycles for me are definitely that ;). greetz from holland ride hard die free (;
Thanks for keeping "our" bikes on the road over that side of the pond as we say all bikes run better with a British heart. One little point though, Your Union Flag up by the Stars And Stripes at 1;10,- It's upside down!!. The one on the wall later is correct, See if you can spot the difference. No offence taken though plenty of Brits make the same mistake, the unpatriotic lot. Cheers Nice Video thanks for posting. notwocdivad

I am a rider , for the last 46 years and took home my first Triumph TR6 in 1967. I had ridden smaller machines prior to that and had lusted after many a Thruxton and Velocette etc etc. I continue to ride at age 65 and have a GSXR 400 and FZR 1000EXUP. If wishes were horses then beggars would ride and indeed if this confection of a motorcycle were mine.. I would ,most assuredly , be out on it every day and, over coffee, stare at it out the emporium window to be admired by my fellows. AMEN
I applaud you!! A phenomenal creation and a piece of art, however why is this video even available to us? This is yet another item that is not made for a common man, but a select few who can afford over the top toys.
To all the fellas out there, you should much rather spend time on videos and books that teach you how to make one of yours.
VINCENT BLACK SHADOW? WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY CUT IT UP LIKE THAT!!!!???? NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! They want like a millin dollars for one of those...
@171apples171 & @GonzoRecovery -- we haven't chopped up or ripped apart a Vincent at all or any other bike for that matter. Sue Carpenter used the words "ripped apart" - the reality is that we NEVER take apart a functioning bike, - that would hurt us more than it!
What you see briefly at the end of the video, is a basket case Vincent Black Shadow, that we rescued in that condition. Everything that you see, is stock or was modified 50 years ago when it was drag raced in El Mirage.
@matrox If you click on the FalconMotorcycles username to the left, the main video on our page is a riding video, many more to come. Cheers - Falcon

Even in the creation of end products that are as undeniably classy and well engineered as these bikes are, it is a sin and a shame to rip apart something as iconic as a Vincent Black Shadow. It is not art, it is vandalism, and is entirely typical of a certain class of American. Mutilate your own ugly domestic brutes if you must - God knows, as a rule, you couldn't make them uglier - but leave classic British marques alone, you arrogant barbarians !
Amazing bikes built by a true craftsman and artist. If you don't get it, don't go near it. To criticize something like this shows your ignorance towards what's possible no matter what you will or won't ride. I can never afford a bike built by these guys but I'm glad they're out there doing rides like this.
They don't want to disclose the price? Something are best left in the past. Who is stupid enough to risk their life on this piece of crap by? You telling me this bike will compete with me GSXR? Take my advice, Don't ride it.

Nice bike. But what is the point of having something that you wont ride or ride once or twice in the time that you own it in stead riding it once or twice in a day. What is the point?
I guess it's perspective. I could look over and discuss this motorcycle for hours. I don't care that it's not a daily rider. It's freakin' cool ! I ride the hell out of my bikes and they will never be featured in an article. But I can always talk about this awesome Trumpet I saw and that gets others talking about bikes they have seen. It's who we are and what we do. This ain't your run of the mill trailer queen.
Such a well done bike! One of my first bikes was a '68 Triumph but it didn't look anything like this. Falcon comes up with some of the most tasteful yet original Brit bikes on the planet. . . despite what the literal and erudite astericx has to say.

So he was almost run over by a pack of retro 1980's posers and to get back at them he will glam up (destroy) a Vincent?? No shame and no talent.

Great job! I want one but can't afford it.
