  • lol imagine...

Everything was still. The nights' freezing winds brought numbness to my face. I looked down a small corridor and saw the mutant dog babies coming toward me. I ignited my lightsaber and began slashing left and right through my foes.

    lol Kinda cheesy

Anyway great video very informative. Im working on a story and i was going to develope the scene's(finish the story basically) then go back through and add themes and such.

Do you think that would be fine or just dumb?

  • a very good informative video thank you for the post.

  • I am actually 19. I mean I know Star Trek and Star Wars are great to watch on TV and yes, plenty of people read the books. But at the same time, what science fiction is really about, in my opinion, is more of the human element... putting humans in future dramas. Sure Star Trek and Star Wars do this and do it well, but at the same time... why not share Rendezvous with Rama, Ender's Game, Ringworld, etc.?

  • No argument. In fact, Galaxy Explorers is also going to publish SciFi writers.

  • I don't think light sabers can be used anymore... any novel that incorporates light sabers is most likely going to be lame. Also, Star Trek and Star Wars are REALLY cliche science fiction. Where's the focus on Orson Scott Card, Robert A. Heinlein, Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, Arthur Clarke, et cetera.

  • Star Trek and Star Wars are REALLY cliche science fiction? You must be over 30. They are not "cliche" to the younger audience - at least Star Wars is not.
