If you were to add some kind of streamlined float(s) to the main foil, maybe that would cancel out enough of the pilots weight to make keeping it flying a lot easier.
Another possibility would be to have some kind of power assist like a small prop/motor or even have a kite to help pull it forward.
Even a great athlete can't put out more than 1/2 horsepower for any significant time, so an assist that put out 1/8 hp would do the trick.
Well ... yes. If I went back to the original video and uploaded it from there the quality would be much improved. Youtube recompressed the video, making so full of artifacts that it is sometimes difficult to see what is going on.
wow... this one is much better than the aquaskipper... it removes the need to start from land and lets you rest. great job...
