Wow. What a cool vib! Very smooth. Very sophisticated improv.. The line that starts at 1:38 is stuck in my head. You have so many good things to say in this improv.
Thanks Allen, dank je wel, I see you know some Dutch too, very good. I've always liked compositions from D.Ellington, their mostly simple form is logical yet always with a nice twist here and there, that melodic fragment you referred to has altered notes over the C7 chord. Greetings till soon,Vic.

Well Sunny,as I make a living from Music(playing and giving lessons) I must be able to play different styles, but you have a fine ear discovering that my first love is Jazz and Blues,I just love swing, I like doing finger style because of the possibility to play melody and chords simultaneously ,greets Vic.

Hi, don't underestimate those Ibanez guitars they're good craftmanship, this is also Ibanez I'm playing on a GB-20 (George Benson-concept) I changed the original pick-up(soap-bar) for a Seymour-Duncan humbucker whitch I think has a fatter tone, also experiment with tone setting on your Amp,don't use too much high and accentuate the bass a little, all the best Victor.
We played this a lot (many years ago) in high school jazz band. I love it. I can close my eyes and all I can see is your fingers slow dancing up and down the fret board. What model guitar is that?
Yeah, once a good composition always a good one and Duke made quite a few. This is an Ibanez GB-20(George Benson) this one is taken out of production some years ago.The smaller Model the GB-10 you still can buy. Greets Victor.
Hey Vic. As long as we are talking about Ibanez hollowbodies I was wondering what you thought of the Ibanez Artcore series. I recently recieved a large sum of money (well, large for me, a 16 year old) from a long deceased relative (long story). But some how the money made its way to me. I am considering buying an Ibanex Artcore AG75 or a Fender Standard Strat. But I am unsure on the quality of the Ibanez. This would be my first hollowbody.
Hi Thrashmetal, good for you with that Money, I don't know that Ibanez type(Artcore AG 75) but I know that Ibanez doesn't make crap, once I played a Lee Ritenouer and Joe Pass models and all where fine instruments, so I would say,go for it,if it feels good it IS good, hope to welcome a young Jazz guitarist here on the Tube soon so we can pass on this wonderful tradition, greets Vic.
Allright amigo that would be nice, tell me what you think about my "Secret Love" I posted it yesterday. I'll be lookin out for your Improvisation,Greets Victor.
